Hey Ladies,
So I've completed day W1 day 1 & 2 on this so far. Really enjoyed it. Doing it on a treadmill. Not sure if my knees could handle the ground outside. Was back at WW this morning & had put on 3lb over the Christmas break, Could have been worse. So glad the Christmas break is over so I can get back to normal eating. How is everyone else getting on?

I'm doing ok. Diet started today. Doing low carbs so porridge for breakfast and I brought homemade soup and salad into work. Have to go out for dinner tonight but I got to choose where so I chose somewhere that I can have good food and can avoid carbs!! I went up about 5lbs over Christmas. So now I've 26lbs to lose.My goal is to have lost that by the end of March as my wedding dress should be in around that time. It's about 2lbs a week so will require hard work but at least we have an incentive!!!! I won't be running today but hoping I'll fit in one tomorrow. I've to drive to Dublin after work so won't have time but staying in a hotel so will need to try to get the motivation to go to the gym in the hotel at about 10pm at night!!

Staying in a hotel tonight so used a treadmill which was handy as it's a bit too wild to go outside. I moved on to week 4 and it was hard going but I did it. I find it easier to run on a treadmill but much more boring - though seeing the wobbly bits in the mirror was a good incentive. I kept trying to picture a thin me walking up the aisle and me looking fab on my honeymoon! I can only dream! ![]() The second day of the diet is going well. Trying to reduce carbs but getting hungry fast. Stopped in a petrol station when I was driving and got popcorn to keep me going. Not the worst but would have preferred not to have needed it. Anyway, hope you are all doing well. Would love to see lots of posts and discussion on this thread to keep me going!!

Did day 2 today, well I cut it short a couple of mins because I'm all bunged up and with blowing my nose and trying to breath it wasn't working out the best. Still haven't started healthy eating properly yet. I have cut down in portions but haven't cut out the bad stuff yet and Eddie rockets today didn't help!! Definitely going to try better from now on

Fair play for even trying to go for a run when you are bunged up! Hopefully you will get better soon and back into it.

Ive started back at the couch to 5k st stephens day! I done it last year and continued to get up to 10k, but I let myself go over the summer and coming up to xmas so now its time to get back into it!! so I started back at week 3, now today im doing week 4 day 3! im aiming to train 4 days a week! the training only takes 30 mins max so I want to do my normal work out too that the instructor has given me! Its tuff going but Im determined to do it!! We plan to get marrried in 18 months so I want to be in tip top shape by then!! ive about 1.5 stone to loose, but if I loose 1 stone ill b very happy!! Anyone watchin operation transformation?? There is a 5k in the phoenix park in Feb, I think its 7 weeks away, so I am going to sign up for that and I am also going to sign up for our local 10k run in May! Re: Couch 2 5k
Welcome shooting star. Was watching operation transformation last night and thinking I'll love to do a 5k run or lOve to be able for a 5k run!! Is there a closing date to apply? At least that could be another motivation factor to get me running.

Hi Shootingstar - you sound full of energy - that's great.
I just drove home from Dublin and was listening to music we've chosen for our wedding on the way - that put me in the mood to go for a run even though I'd been last night. Got in the door half an hour to dinner on the table and OH had really made an effort to do a nice carb free dinner so I felt I couldn't walk back out. Starting back with a personal trainer again tomorrow anyway and food going well. Looking forward to weighing myself tomorrow morning as I have been very good ![]() I must look at the date of the 5k in Phoenix park. If it makes sense I'll go to Dublin. If not there's loads on round home all the time. Gingerwhinger - just saw your post. Get better soon!

Awh I wish I had loads of energy!!! I dont, I have to motivate myself to the last to go and do anything!! I know once I start seeing results then I will be motivated! I just need to get back into the routine of it!!
Im going to the gym after work to do week 4 day 3!! and Ill do it again either tomorrow or sunday on the roads to get out in the air!! How did the run and the weigh in go Belcra?? I was supposed to go straight after work yesterday, but H2B didnt pick up DD so I had to and take her home! And once I get into the house after 5.30, I find it so hard to leave it again, esp when its cold, dark and wet!!! any excuse!!! I weighed myself and im down 3lb since sunday! so happy days!! Gingerwinger, Ive been looking on the OT website as to registrations, they say that its open now, but when you click into the link they say the opening date is 02.02.12?? I think I will def do it! Hey all,
Weighed myself this morning and I was down to 11.2 - which is 3.2 pounds loss since Tuesday!!! I know you always lose lots the first week but it's a good start especially since it's down to healthy eating really. I ate so much over the hols too I was really bloated so that's part of it. I've got the personal trainer now after work today. Going to be in pain tomorrow - hopefully will be ok to get back out for the next run then on Sunday. I signed up to the Cork City Half marathon in June - 4 days before the wedding. That's my goal. Hopefully will do a few 5K and then 5miles in between too.

Ok 1st week done & feeling great. Have been eating healthy as well so will see what the scales say in WW on tues. Have the wee fellas christening booked for end of Jan so hoping to lose a good bit before than, fingers crossed. How are the rest of ye getting on?

hey girls did week 2 day 1 last night, wasnt too bad at all. although my legs were getting tired towards the end! started my diet on thursday. really watching what i'm eating and keeping a food diary which i must say is working out really well for me. i'm recording everything i eat and the days i go over my limit i make sure i exercise more on those days. will weigh myself on wednesay to see how things are going. but already i feel less bloated.

Hi all, Hope the weekend went well good to see you are able to get back running Gingerwhinger.
I'm doing well. Was at the personal trainer on Friday night and a little sore from that still. Then I headed out today to do day 2 of week 4. It was a lovely day and I was wishing I was fitter and could run further. It was a hard enough. The food is going very well and OH has joined on too so we're helping each other. I'm now down 4.4lbs this week which is great. Hopefully will get get down but another 1lb by Tuesday and I'll be below 11stone then. I'm assuming it will level out at about 2lbs per week then which is fine. I've been keeping a food diary too and it's very helpful. Enjoying trying new recipes too. I made Sweet Potato and Lentil soup earlier and it's very tasty. I've lamb and chickpea tagine in the oven now for dinner. I'm determined to still cook nice things and just not have carbs as much as possible.
