Hey guys - just did Week 8 run 1 - 28 minutes...I'm so impressed with myself!! :o)ll Never thought I'd be able to run for that long!! The app is brilliant!! The only problem now is I'm bored coz it's so long!! Sure will keep going anyway, might see if I can get a running buddy and go outside!!

Well done tiffanybride and stupidname!

Im starting week 8 a little late this week but it sure was a great feeling to keep running for 25 minutes on week 7. It was pretty daunting and does get a little bit boring I agree. My knees are taking a knocking tho and I will have to try running on grass more and maybe invest in a new pair of runners next week after payday.

It sure doesnt lose the weight tho if you dont change the diet. Im still where I was 8 weeks ago weight wise but feeling alot stronger bodywise.

hows it going ladies. Im a bit late on to week 8 (made loads of excuses last week to not exercise) but have got two runs done on it so far so will probably get the third run done by Thursday/Friday and start week 9 next Sunday IYKWIM.

Im trying to mix up the uphill and downhill so the knees arent too stressed but am still really enjoying it. Hows everyone else?

I started last week but only did Week 1, Day 1 and had to repeat it last night. Mid way through my calves were KILLING me and I had to skip a couple of the jogs and just walk it.

Any advice for warming up/ cooling down calf muscles? My legs feel fine today so I don't think I pulled anything but they were ridiculously sore during my jog last night.

Hi MTM, My calves were they same starting out too but 8 weeks later they seem to be fine and they dont trouble me as much. They were killing me from week 1 to week 3 I'd say. Im not sure what it is, maybe its the way we run and how your feet hit the ground or could it be the gradients, inclines on the road? Are you running outside? Maybe over time when the calves get stronger its not such a problem anymore. Sorry not much help but I empathise!

Hi everyone! Well done on the successes so far - ye are all inspirational! I'm starting Couch to 5k with a friend tomorrow - we've signed up for a charity 5k run in September as incentive! Went and got proper running shoes yesterday (got a gait analysis done, which was brilliant). So am all set... Fingers crossed all goes smoothly :)

Good for you stupidname! Ive just started the bridge to 5k using the running into shape podcasts. How are you finding this weather? I was going to get up this morning for a run but the thought of rain kept me in bed :)

Fixibelle got a gait analysis done yesterday for the first time too. Best of luck with the couch to 5k, I got a great sense of achievement out of it.

FINISHED!! Only managed 4.75k in 30 minutes so didn't make the 5k as such (on less you round up!), but sure I can build on it now!! :o)ll

well done, its great to get to the end. Im on week 2 of the bridge to 10k and I can believe when I look back that Ive been jogging (cant really call it running yet!) now for almost 3 months. I dont want to run a marathon just yet, just want to get better and fitter. I actually look forward to getting a run in when I get home!

Well done Peonybaby and stupidname2013!!
I'm on my last week and cannot believe it. I'm doing the full time running (well jogging) without stopping but I'm not quite making it to 5K. Still have another few days though. I think when I'm finished I'll work on the speed.
I started this app in the hope of losing weight. Four weeks in and I lost nothing and someone here told me I wouldn't either! I didn't change my diet then either. But 3 weeks ago I decided to join weightwatchers and I have lost 1lb per week. Not bad considering I have been at hen parties and BBQ's etc every weekend! The big thing though is that although I have only lost 3lb people keep commenting on how "smaller" I look. I must be toning up. This is whats spurring me on to keep on going.
Anyone considering doing couch 2 5k, I say DO IT!

Well done everybody!

A quick question - I've had to stop for a week thanks to a minor medical issue. Should be ok to start again on Monday but I'm not sure whether I should start again from scratch or pick up wher I left off? I had got as far as week 2, run 2. Maybe I'll just start week 2 again and see how I'm getting on...
