Easter 2012 motivation!!!

Easter 2012 motivation!!!

Postby gaff » Wed Jan 04, 2022 10:35 pm

Hi Ladies,

Following on from all the good work shedding the pounds before Christmas I was hoping the same thing might work for Easter? Easter Sunday this year is April 8th which, from today is 10 weeks away.

Seeing as the Christmas thread has grown very quiet maybe this thread might be useful for anyone at weight watchers, unislim, slimming world, operation transformation etc...

Hopefully we could motivate each other and give kicks up the ass when needed!!!!! :o)ll

Hi, I'm on the c25K thread too as want to run a half marathon in the Summer - but also need to drop 25 pounds! I lost two stone between February and May last year and have put 1.5 back on O:| O:|

Anyway, have a black tie event to go to in March and a size 12 dress to fit into never mind my wedding dress due in round April so happy to be part of this thread too.

I started a low carb diet yesterday and down a 1.4 pounds already - if only you could do that every day!! I'm aiming for on average 2lbs a week!

Hey ladies, delighted to see the Xmas motivation girls did far better then me this Christmas. But now it's head down time I have 8 months to lose at least 2 stone (pref more but like to set small goals)

My plan is to have my weetabix in the morning. Eat my carbs at lunch (a good big lunch) and then a small dinner with chicken or salmon and veg. I'll snack on yogurts, fruit and soup (if hungry). Gonna cut out fizzy drinks and sugar in my tea and coffee. And no "just once in the weekends cos it doesn't work. Gonna run at least 4 times a week. And if I haven't done any exercise that day it's 15 mins on the trampoline before bed.

I really need it to work :-(

Couch to 5K Gaff!! You are giving me waaayyyyy too much credit there :o0 it's a running program to take you from the couch to running 5k in 9 weeks!!

Anyway, hello to everybody who's joined. Noticed stats up so here are mine:

Starting weight last Tuesday: 11 stone 5.8
Target weight: 9 stone 7 for the wedding ( though I'd be happy at 10 really as I haven't been below that in years but will try for once!)

Food going well but can't stay away from diet coke. I'm really bad with it. Was driving from Dubline this eve. Had a can in the car for when I started the drive. Sopped in Kildare village to buy some new running gear and bought a bottle of diet coke for the rest of the journey. Was so close to buying food in Starbucks that I bought diet coke was the lesser of two evils when it comes to weight loss!

Hi All,

Starting back with the personal trainer this eve so have to be good today. Was down 3lbs this morning when I weighed myself so I was delighted. I have a Target Weight Tracker app on my iPhone and love to see that coming down - still says I've 23lbs to lose! Better than 26lb the other day though!

Had my porridge for breakfast and was starving just there so had a banana. Will have to go to M&S for lunch and then dinner will be out of the freezer tonight. Got some nice salmon there and might just do some veg with it. Getting more motivated now I'm seeing the weight dropping already. Can't wait to back into my size 12 jeans!

Hi Ladies,

I'm going to jump on board too. I have an event on Easter weekend, and I MUST loose a stone for it. I put on 6lbs over the Christmas due to being a complete piggy during the holidays :-8 I had meant to get back to the grind this week but between one thing and another I didn't. So I'm getting back on the horse tomorrow and heading to the gym for the first time in 3wks. Bring on the pain!!

Hi there! Standing here steaming veg and cooking my salmon. I'm starving and was standing looking at the Internet for ages before I realised the salmon wasn't in the cooker.

Was at the gym tonight and did a good session.

Hello to the new people joining the thread :wv
