who does the gym in the morning???

Booked in for a personal training session at 7am this thurs morn!! Am I mad will I be wrecked for the day? Was the only time me and my amazing trainer cue coordinate this week! Bit worried about getting there on time I'm not a morning person and usually work out in the eve after work!! 10am is the earliest iv ever seen the gym!

hi folks

quick tip : drink a glass of orange juice just before the gym so early in the morning. This is because your blood sugar levels will be so low after sleep and you will need it to get thru your workout. Half bottle of Lucozade sport does the trick also. Save the other half for your next workout.

As a personal trainer, the only time I have seen people pass out on treadmills etc is first thing in the morning. Its considered the most dangerous time to train in the gym because of this. So please drink something with a little sugar.

I've just joined a gym, after years of saying I'd hate it I actually am really enjoying it. My gym opens at 6.30am (swords) but I'd never get there that early. 3 kids to get up washed and dressed for school, once I drop them though I head straight to the gym for about 2 hours. Its great for kicking my arse in gear

Well I did it! Even got t the gym early! Felt great training in d am as I wasn't wrecked from a long tiring day! Have felt good all day! So booked in for same time next week again!

Hi prettymolly and everyone else! :wv

Just saw this post,I'm another early morning exerciser!I go 3-4times a week,before starting work at 8.I love the feeling of knowing I've done my exercise and helps me stay eating healthy through the day-no way i want to undo the good work!

I do a mix of cardio and weights. I have no energy if I don't eat something small beforehand and feel sick. So I have 2 clementines,I used to have a banana but now I'm on slimming world diet and have a banana with my brekkie and don't want to eat two bananas a day. I have breakfast as soon as I get into work.

I'm all on for keeping each other motivated, the SW thread is great too so bring it on!

I wasn't great last week so aiming for 4 times this week! Lets see how it goes!

When I'm super tired I do listen to my body though and take a break and get some extra sleep. Plus PLANNING IS KEY! Have NOTHING to think about in the morning! Thats my biggest tip! When the mornings get brighter it will get sooooo much easier too!
