Spotting Mid Cycle

Hi wollies,

I wouldn't ordinarily be asking such a personal question on a forum but I'm sick with worry and just hope someone out there may be able to advise or be able to speak from personal experience :o(

It seems that a week or so into my pill cycle (Microlite, on it for ~4 yrs) I start to spot. It goes after a day but might come back in a week again. I've had smears done recently, they have seen low grade changes but they are keeping an eye on me - all is ok. I have noticed that I get quite crampy mid-cycle as well. Has this happened to anyone a few years into a pill?

Obvious answer: "Go to the doctor". I know :-8 I'm planning to get to the doctor, but I'm actually trying to change to another GP (my current one is a wagon - last thing I want to face into while worried). Any thoughts in the meantime might calm me down somewhat.

Hi, I have had that problem for about two years now. I pretty much have two light periods a month now which isnt much fun! My doctor has tried me on three different pills and I had scans done and they couldn't work out why. I just get a shrug of the shoulders and something along the lines of "it's just one of those things" which isn't much help to you! My other worry was it might mean the pill wasn't working but no babies so far..
