To wait or not

To wait or not

Postby MrsR123 » Sun May 06, 2022 6:07 pm

Hi all,
Went for my routine smear test last week and nurse said results would take 4 weeks. :ooh My husband and I wanted to start trying for a baby this month...my question is if it were you, would you wait for results or would you go for it? I just would hate to start and then get bad news that Im not well. Im feeling healthy etc so I have no big concerns. Just wondering what you guys think would be the sensible thing to do.
Tks :o(

If it wasa completely routine smear then I wouldn't give it a thought to be honest. If it was a call back for an abnormal one or check up for previous abnormality then I might wait. When was your last smear and was it normal?

I would wait but that's because I had a regular smear last year and the results were abnormal. Had to have a biopsy as I had grade 3 changes and I was only 25 :o( . But realistically your smear will probably be perfectly clear. I was just unlucky x

Wait just in case...99.9% sure everything will be fine. If its not you might need something simple like cautereising but you really dont want to be thinking you might be pregnant if you need to have this done. Better to wait, whats one month after all? Best of luck, im sure you will be just fine. Good luck TTC after that! :)

Yeah, if it's your very first one then maybe wait. It's only a month as the other poster said :babydust:
