Yep I am a proud owner of one of those things too. Go it June 02 and its brilliant. I cant believe that I dont have to take any stupid tablets anymore and I feel great. I have been able to loose weight and my friends hardly come to visit anymore (you know what I mean). Definately worth getting, not planning on having a family, so this was the best option for me. How are you finding it?? I wrote to the makers of the product and told them how good it was as its not that long on the market. Good Luck :wink:

Thanks Lisa, I was hoping it would help my ability to lose a bit of "hard to shift" weight that i can't get rid of.

Fom - it was sore enough getting fitted but now I don't feel any different. You wouldn't know it's there. It's only a small thing that's inserted right into your womb so it's not like a tampon or anything. It's not uncomfortable at all.

Look forward to hearing more comments.....

Got one fitted 2 yrs ago. I agree that it was uncomfortable getting it fitted but absolutely no problems with it after that. I must say that I suffered very bad from PMT afterwards, the pill had obviously kept that under control. I started taking B6 and I am positviely sane now at that time of month (Thank God). I still get periods with it every month but they only last a day now instead of 5, but for the last few months they have been very irregular. I plan on taking mine out in the New Year as we want to try for a baby.

I had the copper coil fitted about 6 months ago, I opted for the copper one because it has absolutely no hormones in it - which is what I wanted - and I am finding it brilliant. No more Pill thank god, It was painfull to get in, but I have completely forgotton about it now, and wouldn't even know it was there. My hormones have returned to normal, and at last I can relax and forget about conterception. Can't praise it enough!

I really want to get the coil fitted but they told me in the well women that they wont do it cause i have not children. Do any of yous have one fitted that have no children but plan on having some.
