Hi girlies, loads of activity on this thread. Fingers crossed there are plenty of BFPs coming our way in the next few weeks!

I'm currently waiting for AF to start 6/7 May then it's onto the pill, followed by nasal spray and then gonal F. Scans on 6th, 8th, 11th of June with egg transfer hopefully around the 13th/14th of June. The logistics of the whole thing is getting me! Trying to organise days off work for the scans etc can be tricky. My boss is a man and doesn't know about the whole IVF thing. I'd say if I told him he'd crawl under the table and hide.... :eek plus we are commuting up and down from southwest to Dublin so not like I can take an hour or 2 off here and there!

Its like a James bond operation trying to make the plans for our ICSI cycle and at the same time maintain our 'cover'!! Constant questions about when are we gonna book our holidays!! With the cost of treatment my trips to Dublin will pretty much be it!!

Maintaining the double life would so be worth it if we got the BFP we so desperately want!!

Anyways thought I would check in, thanks for welcoming me to the thread! Reading about the side effects from the nasal spray etc has been a good heads up.

Best of luck to everyone, we deserve it! :babydust:

Hi Slanket,

I was the exact same, only had an extremely light bleed that lasted less than a day, went for my down reg scan and lining was perfect so I wouldn't fret too much about it.

Good Luck

Lyanna: I religiously used to plan and book my Summer hols before January. last year we skipped a holiday as I thought I would be cycling...ended up not cycling till October :duh:
and this year have once again not booked a foreign hol. People keep saying to me "it's not like you to not have anything booked!!!". I've ended up telling them I'm holding off for a last minute deal ;o)
I really could do with a trip to a sunny destination but will have to wait :o(

Hopefully you will be able to come up with a plausible excuse for your boss. I didn't need to myself but I guess if i was working in a smaller company I would have had to.No doubt the girls on here will be able to give you some advise. Don't feel guilty about using an excuse as I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end :babydust:

Hope everybody is having a nice weekend. Went to see my favourite Disney film this morning "Pinocchio" and ended up in tears in the cinema....feeling really tired and emotional over the last few days and don't recall feeling like this on my last cycle :-8

Slanket back to HARI on Friday morning for scan and bloods and they'll tell me when I can start the injections.

Hi girls,

Thanks girls for the info about my light af, it lasted about 2 days in end, and I've read that it is perfectly normal for a light af after stopping the pill.

I have to overcome my first hurdle tomorrow in this cycle - the down regulation scan!! does anyone know what they will actually be looking for?! I'm a bit nervous about it to be honest, but hopefully it will be ok and I'll be able to start stimming. I hope this flipping awful weather clears up cause I'm driving down to cork on my own as dh is up to his eyes in work. The headaches from the buserelin have stepped up a notch this week so I'm drinking loads of water and spending most of the day running to the loo!!

Auntie D - if things go well tomorrow I'll start stimming (I'm presuming) wednesday or thursday so hopefully you wont be too far behind me.

Hi Slanket best of luck tomorrow! Will be thinking of you. My apt is on Friday morning and I beleive they'll scan and do bloods to see if all is ok to start with the injections. I really hope it is as knowing my good luck I'll have developed cysts from the spray or something and it'll push everything out a week!

Hi slanket, they will look at how many follicles you have, the thickness of your womb lining and if there are any cysts there. Hopefully, it will be all systems go. AFAIR if you get the go-ahead, they send you to see the guy from the chemist and he shows you how to do the stimming jabs. If it's Puregon you are on, thats a little different to the Buserelin as it's a pen and you load cartridges into it but it's very manageable. Once you start the stimming, the headaches pretty much go so by the weekend, you should be feeling much better.

Not much from me, just waiting on next AF in about 2 weeks (if it's on time :weep ) and I will be ringing the clinic to book the first scan for the short proto 4 weeks from then. Hopefully things will go smoothly next time.

Hi to everybody I was PM'ing for the last couple of months and everybody else :wv
