This is probably something I should know but do you not POAS when getting IUI because there's a strong chance of a false positive? I presume that the injections could cause a reading where there shouldn't be one.

Hi Girls, this thread seems super quiet, well I need advice hope some one can help! I have been trying to attempt my first IUI since Feb, three attempts later, all have been cancelled due to poor response only one lead follicle, (I know some clinic's go ahead with only the one but mine won't) Well instead of going for 4th attempt clinic have asked me to call in for meeting I'm almost 100% they will suggest IVF straight away but I personally am going to beg for one more shot at IUI even if we only have one follie. My question is what would ye do.

Re medicine I had been on Menopur for the first two cycles and on the third cycle they introduced Puregon .25 CD2-CD4 along with Menopur. In the early stage for the first time ever I had two follicles one on each side but the one on the left never grew, think she should have kept me on the Puregon for longer, I think she is scared I will over stimulate as I have PCOS. Advice if you can on yer meds, thanks in advance :thnk

Hi Mrs2babridesoon, your saw your post. I haven't posted on the thread since my second iui failed :weep

. even though it didn't work for me I think it's worth giving it a go with 1 follicle. You might be one if the lucky ones. I was on 50mg peurgon injections from cd2-cd10, and then trigger cd11. Both times I had 3 follicles on cd9 but only one lead by cd11. I responded quite quickly to thr meds as wouldn't normally ov til cd18/19.

hey ladies just popping in to say no news here, still havent even got the go ahead from c f c or hse re iui so still keeping fingers crossed and praying that we still get go ahead around sept.
the waiting is killing me. O:|

Has anyone had any success with IUI without clomid. Myself and my dw have just started the process with the doc doing some test and stuff for us before we go to the clinic to bring costs down.

My dw went to the doctor with bad af and was explaining that we were going to try IUI and we wanted to make sure everything is in working order befoer we fork out money. She was very understanding as she has friends in same situation as us (same sex relationship) who used IUI and were successful. We are back on Wednesday for some swobs and stuff and were going to ask could we get a prescription for clomid when we start.

What do you think our chances are of getting this we as such no fertility problems? And if we do is it expensive?

Not yet lablady we are thinking beacon or morehampton. We are in with doc tomorrow for test so will see what she recommends. Any recommendations welcome :thnk

We went doc on Friday, she was so helpful done full std screening and tyroid and progestrone levels and lots of other stuff that the clinic will need before we get started. she also took dw hight and weight and has told her no stress and to keep a good bmi of 25 or less(she is 27bmi now so needs to loose 12 pounds).

She has told us all the possible outcomes took swobs sent for bloods (which we were lucky to have done Friday when we dropped swob).

Once they come back next friday if all is clearshe is gonna do day 21 bloods.

Everything seems to be going along greatly and it is so exciting to be finally getting somewhere.

I think it helps she has lesbian friends who have been threw the same.

ah thats great, everything is moving swiftly so for ye! to say I am jealous is a little bit of an understatement. Cant wait to get going now!
