Can follicles catch up?

Hi girls, I have my cd9 scan this morning for 2nd round of iui. I had 2 small follicles on my right 10mm and 11mm which nurse said were good but when she checked my left side I had a big one at 16mm which she seemed surprised at. Lining is 6.6 but there is still time for it to thicken. I have to go back tomorrow - have a feeling they will trigger me tomorrow night. Is there any change one of the smaller ones would catch up - would love to have two eggs?
Last month I had 3 follicles on cd9, 14, 8.5,8 but the 2 small one had disappeared by cd11.

Also she seems to have the scanner on my right ovary first (my righthand side) but called it my left ovary??

Hi buttons. How did u get on with ur scan? Did u have 2 follies in the end? You only need 1 so even if the others hadn't caught up u are still in a good position. Did u trigger? What day? U must b having ur Iui about now... V best of luck.
Can I ask u. I noticed u have a 2 yr old... Did u have to have Iui to concieve ur 1st and if so did u try naturally to conceive this time an it didn't happen again? I'm just asking coz I know deep down I'm really hoping next time I can manage to conceive all by myself... Don't get me wrong I'd do Iui again in a heart beat I was v lucky to get lucky 1st go but I just think it prob wil happen naturally next time but really chances are it prob won't so I need to b realistic about it. So just curious about ur situation if u font mind me asking.

Hi ScissorsGirl, I remember reading your posts on the iui2011 thread when I was researching iui. Congrats on your LO. I had my iui yesterday morning, had the trigger shot Tue night. It's just a waiting game now. I did acu before any after the transfer and have been taken it easy since so fingers crossed this is our month. Did you do anything different in your tww?
It is hard to believe we are actually doing this as ds was conceived straight away, all naturally. I though it would be the same this time around but no such luck O:| .

I think you had every chance though of conceiving naturally, a few girls I know who did fertility treatment for their first all conceived naturally second time around. They had relatively small ages gaps between there kids (9mth or so). I also remember reading that you can be quite fertily for 6 months after having a baby from treatment - not sure how true this is but pretty sure I read it on here.
