Totally Confused Now.........
HI Girls, I was with my GP yesterday and havent had my AF yet DAY54 today, but usually Im in or around 34 days. 41 days after Chemical pregnancy but now 54 days so she referred me to Dr Waterstone in Cork and was going sending a letter etc. She just said we'd been trying for longer than 6 months and no point wasting time that it takes 4 months for waterstone appointment. so i was a bit taken back but said ok i want to get things moving too
Anyway today she rang me, just now in fact and said that she had been thinking about me and she was going to put me on clomid herself when I get my period. so Im like okkkkkk (she told me yesterday she couldnt ) so i said right but I havent had my AF yet so she said ok come into me in the morning and I'll give you something to bring it on (she also told me that she couldnt do this yesterday) now maybe she wanted me to go to the clinic because thats the right place to go for investigations but I dont feel we're at that stage yet. So what do ye make of that? am I going to be totally fecked up now from whatever she puts me on to bring on the period or when do I start the clomid or does she even know what shes at.......... Im relieved too though because Id prefer it to fertility clinic just yet I think its too early not to mention that a local girl here has started working in the clinic there and I would feel awkward. oh God what a roller coaster........ Re: Totally Confused Now.........
Mmm MRS Positive confusing alright, I don't know much about the stuff to bring on AF but it may be worth giving it a go, when you see her Moro drill her for info, also ask her about follicle tracking my Sis swears by it as not much use being on clomid if your not tracking the cycle to see if it's making a diff, I think clomid makes you have a stronger ov? That's crap about the chemical pregnancy I hope your next little embie makes it xxx

Re: Totally Confused Now.........

Hi girls just updated this on other thread too. thanks so so much for all your great advice and help
Thanks for all the responses, OOB I guess I want to get as many tests done by doctor as possible as she mentioned that fertility drugs and fertility clinics are very expensive and i feel we havent given it a proper shot ourselves yet without going down this road! So I had an eventful day but here goes for anyone who has time to read it! Went to doc this morning and went to receptionist and said Im here to pick up a prescription doc rang me to come back. so she said wait a min then came back and said doc wants to see you to go through the prescription, so I waited my turn and went in. So she prescribed provera and clomid. Told me to take provera for 7 days and when i get CD5 take clomid for 5 days. its 50mg or whatever. If in the meantime i get my AF stop the provera and take clomid on Day 5. I asked if I actually was ovulating would it do any damage she said not at all its only a little boost. She said I can come in on CD2 or 3 for bloods and that will give her an indication of my ovaries and egg reserves. She said no point coming in for CD21 as the clomid will really effect them and not be a realistic account of them. So I was happy with that she went into a lot of detail about it so I reckon she definitely consulted with someone else. Anyway that didnt stop her charging me 45 euro. was on the tip of my tongue to say well you could have done this monday when i asked you but I didnt want to rock the boat. She also gave me a letter for the bons in cork for pelvic ultrasound of the uterus and said if I dont get my AF on CD28 to ring for an appointment and they can investigate. she didnt think I had polycystic ovaries as my cylce is normally okish and I dont have any other of the symptoms but said the scan was a good idea to keep an eye on the clomid etc. So then I had an accupunture appointment (which was previously booked) he thought I was definitely going to have had my AF since I saw him last on CD48 and was confused as to why it hadnt arrived this was my 4th session with him and my 9th overall (with someone else during this 55 day period) anyway he was a bit dissapointed about me taking provera as he felt my body isnt doing it naturally itself and that if my periods were so light that was because my body wanted to hold onto the blood because it needed it. sigh........... so I was torn and said id think about whether id take it or not. so i didnt make another appointment with him I said id see how i would get on. Then I had a brain wave and rang a pharmacist I know whos not a friend is a work colleague and asked her opionion, same as my doctor asked what age i was i said 36 she said ah for Gods sake sure your only a baby yourself dont worry on bit about time, she had a woman in last week who was 45 with a new baby who was perfectly healthy. She said throw away the monitor stop analysing everything, have a few drinks, enjoy life and let it happen she said it will happen if you stop worrying, I was asking what if something is wrong with the baby if I got pregnant because im getting older she said not at all she said that can happen to anyone at any time and she said if your thinking negative thoughts like that no wonder my AF is late! im such a worrier about things like that. She told me that provera was perfect to take that its just a little kick start to my system to let it start up again and that clomid may or may not work but to give it a go with an open mind. So I was delighted with myself that my decision is made, took the first of seven of the provera so please God Im on the right track now! That pharmacist said swing from the chandeliers while you can because while having a baby is great you wont know what you did with all your spare time when you had it! she had her first baby at 39 perfectly healthy. So Im going to stop stressing and calm down a bit and hopefully all will go well thanks everyone and sorry for the long winded post! x
