VitD deficiency?

Hi all
Just got call from consultant to say I'm very low in VitD, level is 46 and normal 75 and up. She prescribed Bio D Mulsion liquid for me to take. I'm due to cycle again in June after lots of delays and am jsut wondering if anyone else has had this and if so, how long it took to get your levels normal again?
Only for reading up on things myself and requesting that test myself for a charge of €75!, I'd never have known and I've had 2 failed ICSI cycles already.

sligosparkles, I never got my Vit D levels tested (I probably should have) but Napro tell most of us to start taking a high strength Vitamin D3 anyways as part of their fertility treatment. This is because its been proven to help infertility as I'm sure you know about if you've been reading up on it. I hope it does the trick for you :babydust:

Attending Napro since May 2010 (on meds since Aug 2010)
Found to have low progesterone and L&D showed endo which was removed
BFP Dec 2011!!!
Latest blood results(29/5/2022) - prog > 191 - cyclogest once a night

Sligosparkles, I just got my results yesterday too. Mine level is 47. I'm waiting on clinic to call me cause like you it's something I suggested to them after a failed ICSI cycle ..... I hope they ring me tomorrow. My GP has recommended 5000 of Vit D....don't know if that's milligrams or what. Where do you get the liquid stuff you're talking about do you know? I'm not sure how long it takes for the level to come to normal....I presume then we should get a re-test done?

Rach I've never had mine tested but like all irish folk I'm sure I'm low in it, I saw that one Sligo sparkles is on in nourish in nut grove rathfarnham, then when I got to counter I saw jan de veres (sp) spray so got this as thought it would be handier, this is the first hralth food shop I could find it in!! :lvs :lvs
First IVF starts April 25th!!!
2 extraordinary embryos transferred 8th may, OTD 22nd may!!!

You can get the bio mulsion in medi-pH*r* dundrum... Its about 14euro.
My levels were very low - 25 :eek and was told to take 2 drops 3 times a day..with/after food.
TTC 6 years ....Angel babies in heaven xx
All tests done, nothing abnormal showing up. No reason for losses
IVF October '11..BFN
IVF with ICSI Prague May12.... 2 blasts on board ..BFP
