What did you do after the laparoscopy?

What did you do after the laparoscopy?

Postby nz2000 » Wed Apr 18, 2022 3:06 pm

Hi Girls,

Just had my laparoscopy at the end of March 2012.

Found endo and adhesions which were removed.

My head is wrecked at the moment considering my options re what next – researching Napro, IVF etc.

I am with a fertility clinic and after having one failed IUI its very much a case that’ll I’ll be looking at IVF next!

I’m watching my diet ( got a great book recommended by Libra Moon called Endo – A key to Healing thru nutrition) and going for accupture , hot water bottle etc.

Just asking anyone who has had similar issues what was their reasoning behind what they did after a laparoscopy??

hi nz2000 - did they get all the endo? Was it mild or advanced?

my gynae found mild PCOS and endo in my first lap, but took no action as she wasn't expecting it so didn't have time ;o( .I knew doing the lap that we would be taking a break from ttc, as I was starting a new job (thats why I did the lap - taking 2 days off work while I could). I did the lap just to tick the boxes of potential reasons for no BFP. Due to the new job, I had a change of diet (more healthy - less snacking) + less stress and also forgot about ttc...and then got pregnant 4 months later, after 3.5 years ttc. I really feel the stress level change (and a lot less chocolate!) helped with the BFP.

We miscarried, so we stuck with our TSI approach (no drugs - I didn't go back to the gynae as they were recommending ICSI) and we got pregnant again 8 months later....another mc, but looking at the positive, we got another natural BFP.

I am with Napro now, and for me, there are two reasons
a) because of my two mcs - they have excellent results with recurrent mc and
b) its the most natural approach I could find to conception.
They did a second lap, and removed the endo and drilled my PCOs.

As mentioned, I really think the diet and stress levels were critical in my BFPs, and diet is definitely a big factor for endo. If you have advanced endo, there is a discussion group on rollercoaster which could be a good help.

Hi

Thanks for your responces! Sorry for the delay in getting back – internet down all weekend.

Perma sorry to hear about ur two mc’s!

My Gynae found mild endo only on left ovary.

Started accunpture 2 months ago, not a believer in it at all and made myself do it for TTC reasons which I know now doesn’t work for everyone! Just wound me up and went to two different people so I know the problem is with me O:|

I have never gotten pregnant so I’m leaning more towards doing IVF in 6 months time.

Hoping that the lap will bring on the BFP! :babydust:
