IUI no drugs

Hi just a little info please if anyone can advise me.

Does anyone know if it is possible to do IUI with no drugs? I have no fertility problems and I've just turned 30 we would be using donor sperm due to my husbands low sperm count.

Thanks hope one of you ladies can help.

Hey!

my 1st iui was called a natural iui cycle (i think) i wasn't given any drugs apart from the trigger shot which, as far as I know is necessary so they can time ovulation, that way they know when to do the iui
2nd iui I was given clomid and progesterone support to help increase the chance of success.

I had 2 IUI's on Clomid, but it thinned my lining too much and then I had 2 IUI's with no medication, except for the trigger shot. I didnt take any progesterone either. I had no egg reserve issues, or progesterone issues...
None of them worked, but thats another story! :)

We are the same wollymalta (almost) our problem is no sperm at all lol (same sex relationship). We have not been clinic yet just with our own Doc , so we are going to ask her for clomid as it seems to really up the chances from 6% without drugs to about 23% with.

Thanks for the reply I've taken an appointment for Septemeber to try get my head around things and decide if I'm willing to go with drugs or try without them.

Are you going to carry the baby or your wife best of luck to you both on this journey it ain't easy thats for sure I hope it works out for us all.

Hi wallamamma we were at the doc friday to get bloods and swobs done and I asked would we be using clomind or any other drugs and she said no as long as these bloods (friday hopefully) come back negative for everything she will do day 21 bloods. She said these drugs have side effects if not needed. So if no issues with pcos or endimetriouses or cysts we will be going oh natural unless clinic advice's different.
