It's great to see there are a few Lough Rynn brides out there now! :o)ll :o)ll

I am getting there this September, the gardens are beautiful there at that time of year so if the weather is any way dry I hope we will get some great pictures.
Our band are also providing our DJ service but as excitedbride2013 mentioned Ruth or Ellen are fantastic to deal with. They have a pretty comprehensive list of recommended suppliers so it might be worth dropping them an email to send it on.

mary83 have you everything organised?

Mary83
No worries re. DJ, thought it was a coincidence that your DJ had the same name as my brother's photographer. Great photographer, a friend had him last year too. You have lots done, congrats, I must look into all official state/church things when im home this summer and won't have chance to do it b4 the day!

Diamonds & Pearls,
Just in case you want some options, one of my best friends is a wedding singer. She is ex Dublin gospel choir (moved from Dublin), and was on a TG4 tv programme recently 'pitch perfect'. Singing unaccompanied she send shivers down my spine, every time she sings, and has a great range of songs. Anyway sales pitch over, PM me if you’d like her number and you can visit her next wedding.

Great to be able to chat to you all!

Claire Sheerin is our church singer - http://clairesheerin.com/index.html
Went to meet her a while ago and had her booked and all the music for the ceremony sorted in under an hour!

The honeymoon is in Thailand - can't wait for it.

Mary83 you seem really organized.Thailand will be fantastic for honeymoon. We had looked into going there but the weather can be a bit off at that time of year.

Thanks for the advice MademoiselleC2013 on the church singer but we have the church music already booked. I still have to decide on what I actually want played on the day!

I am going back to look at a dress tomorrow which I am very excited about! :o)ll :o)ll :o)ll

Oh wow, she sounds lovely. She has exactly the kind of voice I'd love to hear in the church! I'm not a fan of the traditional wedding songs, although I realise that you need to have the religious songs in the church!

D&P - best of luck dress shopping!! I can't wait to do mine so I'm very jealous !!

Diamonds & Pearls - Sorry that wedding singer piece was supposed to be for Excited Bride. Messed up names, I am very jealous you are dress shopping too, very jealous! Getting pretty frustrated seeing things I like and having no idea if they will suit me or not, roll on May when I get to come home and try some one!

Mary83 - we’re thinking Thailand too for HM so you will have to report back. And by ‘we’ I really mean me. Before we settled in NZ, we were 7months on the road, I don’t think my H2B will travel much again, and he also keeps worryingly saying ‘but you’re on your honeymoon’ !! :xxx

Excited Bride - thanks for PM and she is lovely, and had lots of songs at her wedding that were so amazing I didnt even know some of them were hymns. Have sent her a text (realised I should check she’s okay me pimping her out online) but I know she’ll be fine, just out of courtesy and will PM you her details as soon as she gets back to me!

Still have loads to do but we are making our way through the list! I have chosen my bridesmaids dresses and I am really happy with them just need to order them now. Invitations have been chosen just have to make a couple of small changes before I put the final order in. Menu tasting has been booked and I can't not wait for this, just need to make a decision on what wine we are going to have! :o)ll
Hair and makeup trial has been booked along with our appointment with the registrar so we have been quite busy.

We have 3 weddings coming up over the next couple of weeks and have had a couple already this year. I find myself noticing so much more now when I attend; really looking forward to them!

How are all your plans coming along ladies?

Oooo so exciting! I was down in lough rynn on Saturday with himself, my family and all of his family to show his family the place as they aren't from around there. The place looked great, and we had a good long gawk around the gardens, and it looked SO nice. Got us all excited!!

Are you guys going to do the menu tasting on your own? We have heard of couples bringing along their parents for it, and I like the idea of doing that...we have a voucher that was given to us as a gift and we could use that to subside their meal maybe.

We are going to the menu tasting with both sets of parents and we are all going to stay down that night. OH parents haven’t seen the hotel yet so I think it will be a lovely way for them to experience it.
