Tankardstown House

Postby mrandmrs2013 » Tue Mar 27, 2022 12:45 pm

Hi ladies,

I have just joined up :wv and I am hoping some of you will be able to provide me with some feedback regarding Tankardstown house - we are thinking of getting married there Spring 2013 (civil ceremony and reception)

Has anyone else had civil ceremony there?? Anyone have any experience of negotiating their package price down a bit?!

Any good or bad dealings with them??

Any advice would be appreciated!!

Cheers x

I covered a civil partnership wedding there last year (samples in my wedding photography2 portfolio).

I have to say it was absolutely stunning, the ceremony room was amazing as was the reception room, the whole venue was jaw dropping, amazing grounds for photos and really fab staff.

Hi,
We are in the process of booking there at the moment for 2013. So far so good in terms of communication and flexibility on options; we viewed an awful lot of venues and it beat most of them on every level.
I'd love to hear how you get on with booking and organising it, hopefully we will both get sorted!

Hi Ladies,

My finance and I are really keen on Tankardstown House. We have discussed some pricing with them....but it's still expensive. How have you gotten on with negotiating? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi gingernutla,

We couldnt get them to budge from per head cost they were quoting, however they did throw in a couple of extras. We are not having a lot of guests so managing to squeeze it into budget that way! What date are you thinking of? they do cheaper rates for sun to thurs weddings... Did you manage to get them down on the price at all?

Would love to hear how you are getting on.

Thanks
