Pre Nuptial enquiry

Hi Everyone,

We have our pre nuptial enquiry with our parish priest tomorrow night, we are not getting married in our parish and we are using a different priest.

I am just wondering do we bring anything for the priest ie: money (if so how much )or a bottle of whiskey?

Any info would be great

Hiya,

Suppose it depends on the priest, ours was really easy going and we didnt bring anything, we were in and out in about 10 mins,

I'm in the same situation. We're meeting our Priest tomorrow too and I was wondering the same. I text a nun that I know (sounds strange, I know!!) to ask her what she thought, she said to just ask him "How much do we owe you?" Still not sure though! He knows me well and knows that I do a lot for the Parish (Eucharistic Minister, Confirmation prep with the kids etc) so was kind of thinking that would make it less buisness/ financial like and that we should just bring him a cake or nice biscuits, but maybe he would think that was tight! Who knows! It's like a minefield! :duh:

I have to get this sorted, when does it have to be done?

I'll be bringing him a cake, the amount of Aldi chocolate cakes I've bought to sweeten people since this wedding planning started is obscene :o0

Sorry Girls, only saw this now.

Our priest was so nice we met with him for about an hour and when we were leaving we gave him a bottle of wine.... he was delighted but did say to us that there was no need...

To make things better we didn't have to do the pre - marriage course :o)ll :o)ll :o)ll :o)ll
