we are only having wine, decided not to bother with toast drink. i haven't had one at a wedding in the last couple of years so it definitely won't be missed.

I am having a prosecco toast.
Although a drink of choice is a nice gesture I often find it a bit manic with the waiters trying to run around getting everyone's orders.
Was at a wedding last year and there was no toast drink. I personally didn't really notice but OH said to me there were alot of people with empty drinks for the toasts (including him!)
Suppose the speeches can go on for a while and people don't want to be going to the bar during them.
If u can afford it great but wouldn't worry otherwise

Im not into the whole speeches thing and ours will be short and sweet only about 10 - 15 minutes. We're being charged 6euro a head for it and there is no give with the hotel. Personally I wouldn't notice if I didn't get one.

we are same with short speeches. met with our wedding co-ordinator yesterday and when we said no toast drink she just put down "top up of wine" so people will have a drink in front of them. i definitely wouldn't notice if i didn't have one and as i said none of the last weddings we were at had one.

Wish we could have wine and a drink of choice for the toast but just can't work it into the budget tbh.
