Hi Girls,

I have three options for the hen. Sligo, Tullamore or Dunboyne Castle. I am thinking of the Bridgehouse Hotel in tullamore they are doing a great package but I dont know the area very well. Could anyone tell me if it is a good place to go or is it just in my head! :heartbeat:

Tullamore is a great place to go out. The Bridge House is a fab hotel and right in the middle of town beside the shopping centre. There are lots of good pubs and great restaurants in the town. There is a nightclub in the Bridge House I have never been in it but I hear it's not bad. If you need recommendations on pubs/restaurants let me know, lots do good early birds and some let you bring in your own wine!!

Hey
Thanks a million. We would just be going for one night so it would have dinner included in the price but if you could suggest any pubs before we were to head to the Palace nightclub that would be great. Some people have said to me that Tullamore is a bit rough but I wouldnt have thought that? We dont want to travel far from Meath and my Mam and aunties are coming so I thought the Bridgehouse would be ideal for them also with the leisure facilities and if they didnt want to go to the nightclub the bar for them maybe a good idea. Thanks again so much for replying.

I wouldn't have thought it was rough but it could be though I don't think this would really matter when you are only going to be there for one night once there are bars and a nightclub you can go to. The best bars to go to are The Brewery Tap, thought it gets really really busy on a Saturday night so maybe not best option. The Wolftrap and Hugh Lynches. There are tons of other but I don't know much about them. Another option for you might be Athlone.

Hi, Im from Tullamore and have never had a problem going out in the town-its the same as anywhere, mind yerselves and yel be grand!
The bar of the bridge house itself is quite good and there is plenty of space for a group, theyve a good cocktail menu too.
hugh lynches is the newest place to be at the moment, bit of a walk but worth it and the wolftrap is gone very quiet these days.
Brewery tap is good too but it gets very very busy, if ye go in early and stay a while itl be fine but ya mightnt even get in the door itl be that wedged if ye leave it late at all. Hope this helps!
Yel have a ball!

Hi 11Bride
This is my first post so hope I'm not making a mess of it!
My friend had her hen in Tullamore in November 2009. It was a two night stay and we stayed in the Bridge house. I went on the Saturday night only. They done a good deal with a small price increase if you wanted a treatment in the spa. I only arrived on the Saturday so I didnt have a treatment but they all said it was good
We all had dinner together on the Saturday night in a private room which was really nice
We went to the Wolftrap after it and it was a good laugh but didnt get busy until late. We ended up back in the main bar of the hotel later
Best of luck

Hey Webb

Thats ok, hen not until October and we booked Tullamore in the end so hopefully it goes well. It seems to be central for everyone and sure we'll make the most of it. Have you sorted your hen party?
