MIL "disgusted"

My sisters are in the middle of organising my hens and it has always been the done thing that its a night for the girls and we do another night with the Mammies. Now the MIL to be has found out she is not being "invited" to the main night she has told my OH she is disgusted that she is not invited, even though she has known all along that my mam isnt going. He told her that another night was being organised (dinner/drinks) to include the mammies but her answer was "well if i am not invited to he main hens I'm not going to the dinner."

What am I supposed to do with that??

I'd let that reply go over your head.Your hen is for your close friends,i'm the same only the girls sre going.Then i'm having another night when my mam,his mam and any of my aunts etc wanna go.When she finds out she's the only one not going to the dinner she'll soon change her mind.

I agree with the above - I wouldn't worry about this and would try to forget about what she said to your OH, she probably won't feel like that once she gets the invite to the other event and realises how things are being done. It can be a tricky one, I know of other mothers (of bride and groom) who were put out at not being invited but definitely wouldn't have enjoyed the hen if they had been!

As others have said you will never please everyone and this will probably blow over. Hope you have a great hen (and second hen with the mammies!) O-O

Dont worry about her and try and forget what she said to your h2b, dont let it ruin your hen.

thanks ladies.

Just so frustrating. See she minds my DS 1 day a week (except this week) and wont see her until next week so just hoping she is not going to act childish about it when i see her.

god above OP you have enough to be dealing with than your MIL saying that - you cant please everyone so let her off - im not bringing any of my aunts and cousins as there is to many of them and i no that they will go mad and digs will start but i dont give a dam! im bringing my mam and my MIL because i want to and if i didnt want to they would be okay with it ..
