i found that one great, but i did not like the lay out of the cover or the way the list on page two was layed out could have been centered more going to do thoes two pages my self and going with the template the rest of the way.

hi all putiing my scroll and ive a few questions if anyone can help me please.
1. The Gospel of acclamation , do we pick that or does the priest decide i'm looking at 2 samples( one a friend of a friends booklet & the other an actual sample) one gospel is from mark and the other is from John!!!!! completely lost.

2. The rite of marriage again in the sample it mentions will you accept the children god may send you etc and then the booklet says will you love & honour all the days etc.
Again do you need to pick this line yourself or does the priest decide and if you do have to pick it where do i start to look.

3. Declaration of consent , we want say our own vows so where exactly do we put them and do we need the part for better for worse etc too .

im soooo confused :o( trying to get this all completed while everyone is out . Is there a standard format that the priest usually follows that we should know about? a huge thank you to any replies

Would anyone be able to forward me a sample booklet of a service that does not include communion in the service?

hi hjta - I have one on my blog that you can download - just click the link to my blog below and have a look in the 2nd column under top posts and you'll see "Order of Service for Catholic Ceremony Outside of the Mass" - this is the one without communion.

Hi
I completed a rough draft of my mass booklet a while back & showed it to the priest. He said I left out the bit about exchanging coins. I am using his template that he recommended www.gettingmarried.ie but don’t see that bit anywhere on the template. Has anyone used this & can tell me where I am missing that bit? Also I have asked two friends to do prayers of the faithful but they are very very short. Is there anyone that I could use that would be a bit longer, is it ok to have longer prayers of the faithful?

at www.together.ie/cerFAQ.html (FAQs about the Wedding Ceremony) you'll find current answers to the following questions:

. . . . What wedding documents are needed?
. . . . May non-practicing Catholics marry in Church?
. . . . Where can we hold our wedding?
. . . . What should go into our wedding booklet?
. . . . What applies, if we wish to marry abroad?
. . . . What about preparing a bilingual ceremony?
. . . . In a mixed marriage, what regulations apply?
. . . . Can we shape our own ceremony?
. . . . Who may officiate at our wedding?
. . . . Must we invite our parish priest also?
. . . . Need Wedding Banns still be published?
. . . . Can our Readings be from outside the Bible?
. . . . What music may we have at the ceremony?
. . . . In a Wedding outside of Mass, what texts are used?
. . . . Who registers our Marriage civilly?

Hope that helps!

Printing A5 mass bookets (A4 folded in half)

Hi Girls, had to post this.I have written up the mass booklet in word, from all the templates on here! but I want to have A5 mass booklets, and was messing around with columns O:| and everything.

But I found two solutions

1) this link to word help is good, if you stay calm and follow it bit by bit it works http://www.microsoft.com/education/en-u ... oklet.aspx

2) you won't believe this. Don't do any formatting at all - maybe put in page numbers to be sure. then when you go to print go to 'properties' then 'set-up' and then I have the option called 'Duplex' I just changed this to 'Booklet' and it worked properly, has it so that the pages are in the right order, you know with the first page and the last page on the same sheet - I just can't believe how easy it is. The only problem might be that this is on the work computer, so I don't know if the settings would be available on for any printer, but if it is it will save hours!!!

Best of luck, hope it helps even a few people
