Wedding Rehersal

Just wondering we are due to get married in a couple fo weeks time the priest has said that there is no need for a rehersal the night before - Not sure what to make of this? Do people still have rehersals? He did say not to worry he would guide us through it all on the day - Has anyone gone through the wedding without a rehersal, any opinions would be appreciated!!

Hi, our videographer asked to attend ours and that will be the only ime we will meet him. Kinda wanted one ourselves though as OH is Church of Scotland and wanted to get a better idea of when to stand up, kneel down etc. Of my friends I think most of them did not have one. We're planning it for the Friday evening then wedding party dinner afterwards,

I don't think we'll be having one either. I would like one ... feel it would help me to feel calmer and more confident about the order of things on the morning.

BUT our priest is a relative of OH and he doesn't live locally to my Church so it'll be a few hours drive for him. I don't think he will be around in time for a rehearsal so I think I will just have to live without one. Guess it's not the end of the world...

I am having a civil ceremony and since me and most of my wedding party have never been to one I am thinking of holding my own rehearsal in the venue the night before. I can bring the order of ceremony with me and am planning on just doing a run through for start to finish so everyone knows what's happening. As the registrar will not be available I am going to do this myself. So if you could do this yourself in the church the night before also. Even if the priest is not going to be there. Its really just to have them all walk up the aisle , know where they are sitting and order they are walking/sitting in and then when the readings and music are etc. So all that can be done without the priest. It means everyone will be calmer on the day and will know what they are doing.
