Of all the bloody times!

Ok, was in OK form today, my brother came home from the UK today for My DS's birthday & has I hadn't seen him since Christmas, that cheered me up.

Arrived home this eve at 7, went to the sink, & NO WATER in the hot water tap. Any of the hot water taps.........DH went out to check the Pump & it wasn't pumping & the tank in the garage was empty. We have a pressurised system in the house & the (Now empty tank) serves the washing machine, dishwaswher, shower & the toilet cysterns. DH rang my cousin who's a plumber, who's calling tomorrow eve, but I'm terrifed he won't be able to fix the prob on the spot & we are having 15 people here on sunday for my DS's birthday party! How could that work with no flushing toilets O:| PLus it's going to cost us money we don't have at the moment. JUst in case he can't fix it, I'd get over everything else except the toilets. That'd be a disaster :o( Of ALL the bloody weekends! O:|

OK, my cousin called over tonight for a quick look, he says it's the capacitator thats gone in the pump, trouble is they have to be ordered, & tomorrow is Saturday. O:|

OK all the upstairs taps, hot & cold have stopped now. KItchen sink cold is ok. Our utility toilet is off the mains, so this should be ok to flush & the cold tap there will work, so it looks like we will get by for the party with that, but it's still disappointing. :o(

Oh no! You poor thing. I hope something happens and it gets sorted soon. You'll manage to have a nice day on Sunday, definitely.

My cousin was able to get the part this morning & is calling later. Hopefully that'll be straightforward & we'll be back in action this eve! :thnk

Don't stress, I'm sure they'll get it fixed in time!

The day before our son's first birthday party (which was also our housewarming and house blessing) - the sewage completely backed up and leaked all over the garden!!!! The OH roped in a few neighbours and they got it going in time. Don't worry! Relax tonight and I'm sure you'll have a great day tomorrow x O-O

Thanks Girls,

Candlequeen, that sounded like a total nightmare! Glad ye got that sorted in time!

Well we are up & running again. My cousin arrived on at 6.30 this eve & in a few mins all was well. Thank God! The part was €60 & he charged €30 so €90 in total, not too bad overall.

Hopefully the sun will shine tomorrow too!

Well DS's birthday party was good, our water was fixed & the sun shone! I can't believe he is 1 today. This time last year I was being gowned up & waiting....I think I will be re-living all steps in my head tonight.
