Sorry, but I'm baffled by this. She took it upon herself to buy this yoke. But she wants her brother to go halves on it? Is it because its in her parents' house? Why would she think he needs to pay for something she decided to buy?
My sister is great for deciding to organise a fancy night out/expensive weekend away/house related gift for our parents and then trying to rope me and our brother into splitting the costs, but we've told her if she buys something without consulting us, its up to her to pay for it, not just demand payment when we've not agreed to it. I know 20 quid isn't a massive amount of money but it sounds like this is a regular thing. I think your DH needs to grow a pair and tell his sister to fund her lifestyle purchases herself.

Thanks girls, DH thought I was mad when I said it to him (more diplomatically than above!) so I wasn't sure if I was totally over-reacting. Need to encourage him to tell her to feck off a bit more often rather than giving in for the easy life, even if it is only €20...

That is just crazy that she did that without asking ye first O:| How about a taste of her own medicine?? Give her the 20 and in a few weeks send a trampoline down there and tell her she owes you half the money!! She might not be as quick to take advantage next time!

Or dont give her the €20, go and purchase something else for €40 and tell her that 'your even', I know its cutting off your nose to spite your face - but at least you'd be spending your money your way!!

Love it, just buy a second swing "so there'll be no fighting!". :o0 Had to stop thinking about it, I get a throbbing vein in my head that is too close to popping for comfort...
