Best (non cash) wedding presents received

Got lots of wine glasses and loads of candles and Thank god most of them were lovely.

Got a fabulous picture that goes perfectly in our Front room and I was very apprehensive opening it but its very modern and really gorgeous!

Le Cruesuet pots & bakeware were also one of our best presents and the Hotel voucher I think is a fantastic gift.

All the gifts we got are lovely but the one that really sticks out is a beautiful salad bowl handturned from beech by my friend's father, I just love it! Also we got some Le Creuset as well, the same colour as my mum's which is still going strong 38 years later!

Oh yeah, and I was formerly shumbles!

Blue Book and restaurant vouchers. We are big foodies so we can treat ourselves without feeling guilty about the bill!

My auntie made us up a big basket with loads of little things we'd need for moving into our house. You know those things that you forget you need like cloths, washing up liquid, cork screw, wine, toothbrushes, dustpan and brush etc. just loads of little things that are already coming in handy! And we can use the basket for laundry as well :)

It was a very thoughtful gift :)

Work colleagues got us a voucher for a seaweed bath, which I thought was very cool :) they saw i was so stressed before the wedding and thought it would be a good idea :)

I would never think of some of these gifts - I normally just give cash!

Who would ever give someone a Wii for a wedding present??!!

A bluebook voucher and voucher for a very fancy Dublin restaurant were great gifts, as was some lovely silver and crystal photoframes, and a painting of where I'm from from some v close friends.
Got some BT and kilkenny shop vouchers too which helped us to buy a beautiful full denby dinner set and fab waterford crystal wine glasses which we hope to have forever.

If you get BT and Kilkenny vouchers I'd advice to wait for the sales to use them as you can get some amazing value :wv

We got 2 nights in the Shelbourne (used that the night before and night of our wedding) and voucher for 2 nights in Lyrath (we used that last week, after our wedding) and then a voucher for The Village at Lyons (gonna use that in January for my 30th) which are all hugely expensive and gorgeous presents to get.

One of my favourite non-voucher and non cash presents though was a glass sculpture of a red love heart. I love love hearts and our wedding them was love so there were hearts everywhere. The sculpture reminds me of the love I felt for my new husband that day (which has all waned already, ha ha) and it reminds me that our hard work was worth it because we had such a fabulous day.
To anyone who knows me in the outside world, come say hi, or stop reading my posts!!!

I love cheese and I got a lovely cheese board with a pottery lid; it's fab! Used it for first time last night with some lovely wine in our new wine glasses! Also got a wooden clock in shape of map of Ireland with villages of where hubby and I are from marked on it. It's fab! Also got a fab canvas painting. My friend who lives in oz posted it so it's really special to me.
