We got a present of flights to Oz :eek haven't used that yet but I'm sure it will be the best! In terms of physical gifts, there are three that I absolutely love love love.
An uncle of mine does wood turning as a hobby and he made us a huge spalted beech bowl, it is absolutely beautiful and he etched in gorgeous script writing into the bottom of it the type of wood, where it came from (a farm near my parents house), a congratulations on starting our new life together and the date of our wedding. Love it so much.

Another gift is actually from two people, but came as a set. My Aunt is an artist who makes gorgeous very unusual brass and enamel wall plaques and gorgeous jewellery. I have jewellery from her, but could never stretch to getting a plaque from her. One is from my artist Aunt, and she did that one of a barnacle goose on Wexford sloblands (because I'm originally from Wexford) and the other is of a corncrake. Have coveted her stuff for years, it's so nice that we now have two that were made specially for us.

Another joint first favourite is a big picture that my brother and his girlfriend lugged over from Australia in a big wooden crate. It's a photo of the place that we will be going to, beautifully framed, and is like a piece of paradise for our wall. Even though we haven't gone to Oz yet, I love that we will have that to remind us of our time in Oz when we (hopefully) return from Oz and settle into our forever home.

Actually...I've another gift for my list of favourites. We got a lovely set of bed linen too. It's fab quality, king size, and feels absolutely amazing to sleep in. I'd never have thought of giving bed linen as wedding gift, but I love it so much now that I have started using it. It has converted me high quality bed linen! I was a Penneys/Dunnes girl all the way before and didn't realise what I was missing out on.

We got a deadly present of a Krups nespresso coffee machine and a cool twisty holder thing for the coffee pods. I would never have bought this for us as they're really expensive and i couldn't justify spending it on a coffee machine for us iykwim, but i love the fact that we got it as a gift, it looks really cool, makes really nice coffee, has a cool little menu thing and loads of different types of coffee and DH is obsessed with coffee so it was a perfect gift for us really!

My absolute favourite was from my sister - she's really artistic, and apparently she'd been planning this a while.
She collected a few bits and pieces from the day, and preserved them in resin - all sorts of things. The cork from the first champagne bottle opened after we were married, some sand from the sand ceremony, some of the beer mats (she even made beer mats for the day as a surprise aswell, by transferring photos from our childhood onto them - they were brill), bits and pieces from the centrepieces, some of the ribbons, labels from the wine bottles.. and a few flowers from my bouquet (i didn't want it dried out on the day, I'd given it to my mum to put on my grans grave instead)
She mounted all of these little blocks of resin onto a frame with a backdrop of articles from a local newspaper from where we were married. When she gave it to me I was so lost for words.. it was so sweet of her!!

Our joint favourite is a digital photo frame - rockin. We've got all the photos from out honeymoon on it already and I'm looking forward to getting the wedding ones on it.

Some really lovely Ideas on here, I thought I would really appreciate the cash but in actual fact I was blown away by the thought some people put into gifts! My favourite was a Cath Kidston Picnic Basket. My hubbie proposed to me with a picnic and I just thought it was such a thoughtful gift. So pretty too! Also got vouchers for hotels and restaurants which I loved. Great to have a few getaways lined up to overcome the post wedding blues!

Our favourite was a honeymoon diary. We had great fun while we were away filling it in, was lovely and so thoughtful. Another was from a friend of mine who made a memory box and had lots of mementos in it like our invite, table decorations etc.... really really thoughtful.

We have a denby dinner set too which we bought with brown thomas vouchers given to us for wedding. We waited til the sales to buy it though as there were reductions of between 40-60%! So wait until sales if you are adding to your set. It is ridiculously expensive otherwise! O:o)

We got some amazing gifts.
My BMs got us a hello magazine cover with photos from the wedding service and surprised us with it at the meal. It was brilliant and our guests loved it.
We also got 2 fabulous paintings which I am so excited about having on our walls.
We were surprised by a hotel voucher in the post soon after we got back from honeymoon, it was such a treat.
My nanny's friend who I have never met sent us a lovely Waterford crystal milk jug and sugar bowl that had been in her cupboard for years, I :lvs it.
We also got some currency for our honeymoon which was very thoughtful.

We were totally spoilt with wonderful gifts.
