Best (non cash) wedding presents received

A couple of friends bought us a spa day in the resort on our honeymoon. It's something we could never justify spending money on ( honeymoon itself costing and arm and a leg!!!) so we can't wait for that! A whole day of pampering!! :xox

I really loved all the physical presents we got, ranging from wine glasses (one of these came from a neighbour who isn't working, so the gift was really appreciated).
We got a fab lamp, it's huge, have to find somewhere nice for it! A Waterford crystal clock, which I love as we had no clock in the sitting room so it's pride of place on the mantelpiece!
Another one was a friend DH met whilst travelling, she came all the way over from England to the afters, and she gave us this cool bottle opener shaped like a parrot, it's significant because DH explained when they were travelling no one ever had a bottle opener, so its a private joke for them, but so thoughtful!
But my fav present of all is a friend of DH, who I had never met, she was invited to the afters, and she gave us a sketch of me and DH, she got my pic from Facebook and sketched from that! Amazing talent!! Was bowled over by it, so love it!

I love all the presents we got. Got a few sets of wine glasses that i love, really funky. A huge newbridge cutlery set. Some really lovely big serving bowls, LAura ashley crystal lamps(really cool). Got framed photos of my home town and then a slate that has all our wedding details engraved onto it. Got some really cool vouchers, neven maguire place in cavan and a voucher for the blue club(for nice hotels) among other things that i can't even remember now. EVerything is going into storage at my home house until we build so its all put away.

We were very lucky to get such lovely presents!

A couple that we invited to our wedding couldn't attend owing to the death of a close family member shortly before the date. They delivered a present to my family home while we were on honeymoon. Turns out that it was a picture which corresponded with the loose theme that we had for our wedding day. Some coincidence! They were delighted to hear how apt it was as a present and we absolutely adore it :)

We got a few Blue Book vouchers which are great as we love eating out and going off for lovely weekends.

Amazing John Rocha by Waterford Crystal wine glasses.

A gorgeous crystal wine decanter and two matching glasses (have you guessed that we love our wine?!)

A stunning handmade throw and matching cushions made by my lovely friends cousin. It's really fabulous and unique to us!

This might seem strange but a pair of flannel pj's my sister bought me! She did a little pack up for the night before my wedding and had little slippers and lovely pj's along with a card for me it was soooo nice and unexpected :)

Got some wonderful pressies:

A hand made quilt throw for our room - turns out friend asked my sis bout the colour scheme in our room & tied the throw in with that - it's got our names & date of wedding on it - going to use it as our baby making blanket :o0 :babydust:

Some wonderful John Rocha Waterford glasses

Two sets of Newbridge cutlery - but they are both different & I love them :lvs

Two personalised clocks. One has our pics on it and the other is in the shape of a harp with our wedding date on it - beautiful.

A friend who got married in UK B4 me gave me the same pandora charm her OH gave her on their wedding day.

Another friend appreciated our love of travelling & got us a globe - it's wonderful & such a thoughtful pressie - but in saying that I love all my pressies & have such wonderful family & friends.

One of my work colleagues sent the photos he took on the day to an online album printer place, and he did a running commentary on all the photos and events of the day. I love it so much, it was such a surprise when he gave it to us after the wedding.

My hubby (and the dog) proposed to me at the local lighthouse and hence it was our wedding theme, lots of the guests ran with that and got us beautiful photographs and paintings from local artists of this lighthouse but also of the lighthouse of the table they were sitting at during the meal on the day..very thoughtful. most sentimental was one my girlfriends got made up of the lighthouse but it was a collage of about 200 pics of us with friends and family over the years when you get up close to it (",)

also loved using our blue book vouchers and the vouchers for meals in restuarants you've always wanted to try (but are super pricey...)

my favourite present was a board game my bridesmaid hand-made for us...it was the game of life wedding edition but all the comments and cards related to our big day (E.g. the perfect dress was obviously mine and the not-so-high-in-points dress was the my big fat gypsy wedding dress, etc.)

The best presents we received were from my two lovely bridesmaids!!

My maid of honour organised a video booth for us! She had it for her own wedding too and it was brilliant but wasnt in our budget. So you can imagine how delighted we were when we turned up at our venue and saw it there!! We just got our dvd back and it's hysterical!

My other bridesmaid organised a balloon release of a hundred red heart shaped balloons. Looked amazing against the backdrop of trim castle!! Was a brilliant surprise and really meant a lot to me.

We got some fab gifts that were non-cash. I was delighted with them and think it's lovely to be able to say "Oh, we got that for our wedding!" :lvs

Anyway:
Set of luggage
Orla Kiely teapot/sugar bowl and milk jug set
Handmade patchwork quilt
Funnily enough I love the napkin rings we got!
Framed photograph of a place that we love
Voucher for a set of cutlery
Vouchers for restaurants (always good!)
