We have been to Mexico twice in August and the weather was great. One or two big thunderstorms the first time and no rain the second. Either way it didn't bother us. We actually went to the Maldives on our honeymoon which was the rainy season and we knew that here it would rain but didn't bother us in the slightest. One or two days it rained a lot but mostly just heavy showers for about 1/2 hour then it would clear up and it was still 30 degrees. We actually preferred it as it was nice to have the cool shower :o0

Hi,

We went to the Dominican Republic last August as it was recommended to us. We wanted to go to the Maldives but it was their winter season. We looked at the Carribean & of course it was the hurricane season! We were told that as opposed to Mexico & other places that Dom Rep was least likely to be hit by a hurricane & sure as God Hurricane Irene hit! It was beautiful for the first week and we had a few bad days of rain for the hurricane. Tiz a bad time of year for sunny honeymoons!
