How to upload images directly on the forum

One of the new features of the updated forum is that you can upload images directly in your post.

When you are writing a post you will see 3 tabs under the writing pane

: attachment.jpg (21.08 KiB) Viewed 8026 times

click the one called "upload attachment"
browse to the image on your computer.
Click "Add the file"
Add a comment if you wish
Put your cursor where you would like the image to appear
Click "place inline"

That's it!

Help this does not seem to work. When I click 'add file' the response is file invalid.

This sounds like the pictures are too big.

The size type must not be over 256 Kib X 256 Kib

What's the story with uploading images? My images have disappeared from a previous post and when I try to re-upload them now, I am getting an error message.

how does uploading images work with Private messages?

There doesn't seem to be the option for uploading attachment as there is for the posts.

What about uploading a profile picture? I see where to upload it and it says that I'm currently using 'image name' but it doesn't show up with my posts. Is there a size limit for that too? Can't seem to upload anything i've tried so far...

Yes your avatar needs to be 80*80. if its too big it won't upload

I don't see any "place inline", When I click add file it brings me back to the other tab!? So confused!

Have you clicked browse and selected the image you want?
