Hi

Dipping my toe in here. Have lots to lose 100lbs.Going to attempt it in batches of 30 lbs though. Just wondering if anyone with a sizeable amount of weight to lose would like to buddy up for motivation.

Yes please?!
Are you going to follow a plan?

I started weight watchers 6 weeks ago and have lost 20lbs.
I have another 70lbs to lose :-8 , so we have a similar target.
When you've a lot to lose and see results straight away, with relatively minimal effort, it's a great motivator.

I was 'good' for the first 5 weeks but have hit a dip this week (through no fault of my own!) so will get back into it on Monday.

i was on this great site myfitnesspal.com, you record what you've eaten every day, what exercise you've done, i decided im not gonna stress about losing it for the wedding, ill just be a big beautiful bride lol! then i'll get back on track and join that site again and thinking of joining a gym too! i moved 2 years ago and haven't joined one since moving here. but where i was before i was going to the gym 3-4 days a week and swimming. so it was dropping off me! but i do tend to give up on myself every now and then so motivation and support would be of great help! anyone who wants to send me you e-mail through pm or i can add ya's on facebook, keep in touch through mail :-)

Going to try my old faithful weightwatchers will try from home initally as with 2 smallies getting away could be tricky might do a morning meeting when DS starts School in sep but was thinking this could be a good support initally. Like you say the first weightloss is generally handy enough its the middle section can be challenging so would be good to have this thread for motivation

OK so - new week, new routine - new diet!

This is what I feel has been of benefit to me so far - planning.
I know if will be hard for you, because you're preoccupied with your children, but I think it's extra important for you to plan your meals in advance.
When you come home from your weekly shop you should know what you're going to eat every day for the next week. It's boring, but effective.

Remember to track every single morsel you eat. Write it down!

Have you got a goal? An outfit you'd like to be able wear again maybe?
Take it out, look at it, and the next time you consider eating a biscuit, think about that outfit and how much sooner you'll be able wear it without having the biscuit.

As Kate Moss says
Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels!

I already know the outfit I am going to wear out on St. Stephens night and I am determined to wear it. I know I will feel absolutely fantastic in it and I know it will get a reaction from people when they see me in it and I can't wait!

Now I just need to practice what I preach! :-8

well how has everyone done this week I'm done 2lbs thought there would be a little bit more given its the first week but may not have been as good as I should have been. Have a few busy weekends ahead so can see this being a recurring theme.. Need to get proper motivated I think.

A steady 2lbs a week would be great though!

This week has not been good - lots of people about and lots of distractions. O:|
A 2lb loss is my aim for this week. I'm being weighed tomorrow.
I haven't tracked what I've been eating at all but I think I've stayed within my points.

Still need to get up off my fat arse and exercise!

Tomorrow....
