Wine and Corkage

Hi, im looking for advise on buying wine for my wedding. The hotel is charging €9.50 for corkage or €18 for the house wine. Would I be able to get good bottles of wine for €6? Im not a wine drinker so I dont have a clue!

Tesco have a good few on offer for €6 at the moment plus u get 5% back when u buy 6 bottles so it will be even cheaper! They have blossom hill at €6 and turners road, i'm going to wait until Easter though as there will be more offers on around then. €9.50 corkage is madness did you try and negotiate with the hotel?

Yip I tried everything, they just wont move on the corkage. Still didnt pay our deposit so im just looking at different ways to bring down the cost now. Thanks for the advice.

I got my white wine today at Super Valu.. Half Price at 6eur & had 5% voucher off!! They even threw in a bottle of champers as a good will gesture to us!! Keep an eye on the Supermarket special offers weekly.. there are always some lovely wines on special! On the look out for reds now... not a red drinker so no idea on what to buy there.

Supervalu have lovely white wine @ €6-99 a bottle Its Mcguigans black label I love the savignon blanc
