Easter 2012 motivation!!!

Re: Easter 2012 motivation!!!

Hi ladies,

Sorry, I haven't been on this in ages. Everyone has been doing so fantastic, well done! Did a weigh in on Sun night and I'm down 7lbs since we started. Delighted with that. It means that I'm halfway there. If I can do 1lb a week for the next 7wks I'll have the full stone lost for Easter.

Didn't do much in the gym on Monday evening cause my knees have been aching with a bit of what I think is tendonitius. I've been pretty good diet-wise this week (although I did allow myself 3 pancakes y'day). DH and I will be going out for a run this evening and I'll be back in the gym tomorrow and again on Sat, so hopefully I should get there for Sun. I told my boss that I'm giving up 7lbs for lent and she said that she wants to lose a couple of lbs too so we're going to have a little mini-weigh in here in work for the next few weeks to see if we can motivate each other!!

Good to have u back Beaches and chick!!!

Girls im just back from ww and I'm stunned!! I'm up 1lb????? >:o( I have no idea how? Now usually if I'm up I've been acting the maggot and I know exactly what I've eaten or had to drink :-8 but I have over 30 activity points (including a 15km cycle, two 8km walks, step class, body sculpt and the ot 5km run?????) and only used 16 of my weekly propoints! Not due my period, didn't wear different clothes didn't introduce any different foods and tracked everything!!! stunned was totally expecting to be down???? O:| I wouldn't mind I didn't even have a pancake yesterday and the smell wafting around the kitchen near killed me!!!

I must have looked like a right basket case at ww class, as our leader facebooked me about an hr ago to check I was ok :-8 :-8 mortified!!!! lol!!!

Gaff that is so dissappointing, God I don't blame you. I'd be so raging. All that exercise and discipline will have to show in the scales next week. Don't lose heart, you'll see results next week.

I was down 1 but just by the skin of my teeth! Putting in a big week this week, have nothin on at wkend so no distractions. Aiming for 3lb this week.

Come on girls we can do it!!!

+1 to this. That is heart breaking but don't give up. Give the same effort and fingers crossed you see it next week. Don't worry I've had a ww leader find my phone number in the past cos she was worried about me. The next week she was asking everyone for contact details in case she ever needed to get in touch :o0 I always find when I know I've done well and that I'm not lying to myself I disregard a one week gain so hopefully you can do that. :action32

WI in in 3 hours :eek expecting a gain.

Chick that happens me quite a lot in different forms. After I first lost my weight I was looking at debs pics going "look how heavy I was" tried on my dress and it didn't fit :eek . I couldn't believe it I honestly felt smaller.

As regards confidence I can't really help as I'm not very confident. Although I kind of see myself differently in my head. I see me skinny and looking fab and then I walk by a window and realise how wrong I am.

I would also be interested in any tips if anyone has them!

Well done on the toning chick :o)ll

Girls I can't help much on the self esteem/confidence front, it wouldn't be my strong point. All I can say is that this time, I am using health as my motivation. I want to lose the weight to feel and be healthier rather than to fit into certain clothes etc - although that would be a very welcome little side effect.

Have had a very bad day today. My DS was in bad form all day so I never got to cook a proper dinner/lunch for myself and just ended up picking at bits and pieces all day. My DH went to watch a match today and had few pints and brought home a Flip Dominos!! I had 2 slices of pizza, garlic bread and few wedges and 2 of their cookies which are little chocolate heart attacks all by themselves!!!! Just now I had 3 rich tea biscuits which I used to dunk into a jar of Nutella (here since pancake day). What the hell is wrong with me!!! Detox needed tomorrow. Am changing my WI to Thurs afternoons instead of Wed so I have 3.5 days to try and get myself right. Have also not really gotten any walks in this week O:| O:| O:|

It's ok lady gaga sometimes we all need to just have one blow out day. You've had yours. I how you enjoyed it because now its time to get back to normal. Makes sure you get half an hour of exercise (if you can't get out for a walk run/dance around your house, just get your heart rate up for 30mins) and as you said just be extra good the next few days to help stay focused.

I had a pretty good weekend. Went for a run sat, did have a Chinese sat night but had no alcohol. I bought just dance on the Xbox so was bopping around to that last night. So much fun. I also gave up mochas and hot chocolates for lent and so far have stayed off them. I gave up bananas too. As a woman behind me at WI last week was saying she gave up bananas and lost 4lbs even though she didn't get in any exercise (she normally would do quite a bit. I would have a banana every day so let's see thurs. I def feel good on this Monday morning. :o)ll

Well done Drummerswife, you've done a great lot of exercise. Do you run outdoors? On road or grass? I think I really need to start running but just don't know where to do it!! I was good today and got a walk in this evening. Starting Zumba tomorrow night so hopefully that will burn a nice few calories.
