has anyone used P90X- extreme home fitness

Postby errigal08 » Wed Apr 25, 2022 8:40 pm

im going to start it on monday(i know, its always monday :o0 ) but i am going to do it,iv just read the book and worked out what calories im to have per day,and iv choose what exercise workout im doing,im going to do the lean workout apparently its the best for women more cardio-i know its going to be a tough 90 days but feck it i'll give it a lash,if i lasted on the dukan i can do this!
my husband got it a few months back but i was well on the dukan so dident really get interested in it,but now that iv lost a good amount of my weight i want to tone up and lose maybe another stone or more and i fear iv come to the end of my tether with the dukan...iv watched the videos on youtube today and some of the results are amazing,i dident really need to go to youtube to see results because my husband is walking proof that it works,he has really toned up,and built up his musles,(he did a different exercise workout than what i will be doing, his was more for building muscle and boy did he- you can see every muscle on his body! its a fine man i married >:o)
anyway just wondering has anybody on here used it?

I haven't used it but my personal trainer recommended it for when I finish up with him. He said it was extreme (he is a wee (very wee) bit of a tool so I don't really know what extreme means in his terms)

I've had a tough 12 days so gonna do 30 day shred first and I'll follow your progress to see will I do it :o0 hope you don't mind.

update
im on day 10,cant actually believe iv stayed on it,normally i hate any form of exercise but this is really good,
dont get me wrong the workouts are hard, the yoga one is unreal,i cant do half the moves yet,but i do find my flexibility is much better,i havent been able to stick to the diet plan they provide,i found it was just to time consuming, with 3 oz of that and a cup of this, nah i couldent be doing that,so im kinda sticking to the dukan diet, not as strict as i was before, but im sticking to the high protein low carb...iv 20 more days before i take my measurements again, but i can see a difference on my belly already,iv also lost 7lbs,though i think that is more because of the dukan to be honest,p90x says to stay off the scales and only do measurements, cus of the whole muscle weighting more thing, but im addicted to the scales :-8
ok i'll update aging on day 20 :wv

Good to hear You have stuck with it.

Im on day 2 of Jillian Michaels and find it quite easy in comparison to what I was doing so it will be interesting to see if there is a difference.

Well done.

ok its day 21 and im delighted to report that i have lost another 2lbs and i did my measurements today, 9 days early i know but i couldent wait and the combined inches lost are....wait for it...a total of....10.5 inches the biggest loss was on my waist i lost 3.5 inches there :o)ll
im delighted!
my workouts change this week slightly they call it a rest week,i wouldent call it that because i actually have 2 days of yoga on it,i find yoga long its 90 mins long and its just soo frustrating, but anyway i'll get over it...looking forward to taking my 30 day pics now!
i'll check in again on day 30

how are you getting on with the 30 day?

Well done you. That's great results. I def don't think I'd manage it as I couldn't give 90 mins on a day unless it was a sat&sun.

Struggling with Jillian Michaels as I'm injured :o( my ankle and calf are going on me. It's very high impact and I don't think she does enough warm up. Also Im not very happy with the weight loss aspect of it (that's where I need most of my help) so I think I'm going to go back to my own thing for awhile (going back to my personal trainer on the 11th for another 12 days) I'm going to do my cardio, then arm and Ab exercises. I might change my mind later as so many people get good results from Jillian but just increase my own warm up.
