Brunch/lunch in Kilkenny.

Heading to Kilkenny on Sunday for the night with a gang of friends. Can't wait!! :o)ll Haven't had a drink in 5 weeks, so I'll probably be locked after two or three drinks!! Anyway, we'll be looking for somewhere nice to eat lunch/brunch the next day. Hangover food but not greasy spoon if you get me. Any suggestions? We're staying right in the centre of Kilkenny. Thanks!

Thanks a million for the suggestions folks, like the sound of both but Lautrecs might suit our crowd better, not big into paninis/sambos and salads won't cut it! Fish and chips, steaks and burgers (on Lautrecs lunch menu) will be just what the doctor ordered. And it's right around the corner from our hostel (can't believe I'm staying in a hostel, first time in about 8 years, gonna be brilliant craic!).

on the same street as lautrecs there is a bar called kytlers ( im sure you will be in it for a few drinkies one of the ngihts) but they do good pub grub . also acros the street is marble city bar fab food there aswell O-O
lots of lovely cafe/bars all over the place now that do great food and are very reasobable.

The hiberian, a hotel in town is great for brunch, big sofas and a fire lit if it's a cold day.
Very cosy.

Wanted to go to Lautrecs but by the time I'd dragged my hungover @ss out of bed the others had gone to Marble City Bar, ordered a fry and it was very disappointing. Was raging cos other people had pancakes w/bacon and maple syrup and eggs benedict and both looked delicious. Thanks again for all the suggestions, now I'm off to the sofa to eat a giant bag of Doritos and watch something mindless.
