As you could probably tell yesterday, we were completely besotted by the rustic, romantic wedding celebrations Siri and Dan threw for their guests in Ballymagarvey Village. Tanya from Eden Photography did an amazing job capturing the beauty of the emotional day - from Dan and Siri’s two little ones perched on their knees during their ceremony, to the full group of guests toasting the bride and groom on the striking grounds of Ballymagarvey. And then of course there was the decor... [View the full wedding here!}

Dan and Siri’s idea was to have a ‘rustic, country style wedding’. In Ballymagarvey they already had the perfect setting, so it was up to them to add the little extras to bring their own taste and personality to proceedings.

The Flowers and Centerpieces

Purple and pink roses and posies tied in perfectly with Siri’s bouquet, and these were displayed in all different sizes of jam jars and vases, which you can purchase from IKEA from about €2, online from alpack.ie, or in any kitchen/bakery shop. Another option is to display your flowers in small pitchers or in a large pitcher centrepiece which are available from the Shop at WeddingsOnline.ie and give a real rustic feel to your decor.

The Dress

Siri's wedding gown was her something borrowed from a friend, who sourced it in Denmark. This version (middle image) is 'Norma' by Watters and we think it's a perfect alternative. The corsetted sweetheart neckline will give great shape and the natural waist and a-line layered skirt give just the right amount of light feminine romance to the overall look. The belt shown here is seperate and so the dress can be accentuated however you choose to (or choose not to!) Watters stockists in Ireland include: Tracy Bridal, Galway; B Couture Bridal, Wicklow; The White Room,Westmeath; Myrtle Ivory, Dublin. Pronovias, Watters and La Sposa are just three well known designers of stunning bridal belts. The Bridal Rooms at McElhinneys has a range of bridal belts in their accessories section, while more can be purchased on sites such as Ebay and Etsy. Simple, elegant shoes such as ‘Capri’ by Belle at Frilly Frocks will finish this look off perfectly.
