Ballinacurra House - Kinsale - Exclusive Use Weddings on a Totally Private Estate

Small, stylish weddings with difference - where Privacy is the ultimate luxury; Ballinacurra House, Kinsale has been rated Ireland's "premier private estate for exclusive hire" and is offering a whole new special day experience in the overcrowded wedding venue market.

Important Changes in Irish marriage law are taking effect from November 2007, meaning it will be possible for civil marriages after the above date to be held at venues other than Registry Offices for the first time; "provided the venue has been inspected and approved by the HSE in advance of the marriage ceremony and subject to a Registrar being available to solemnise a marriage at that venue on the date in question."

"This is set to change the landscape for weddings and making properties with extensive grounds an appealing alternative to the so called usual traditional church style weddings of the past," said Ballinacurra House owner Des McGahan.

"It means that it's a whole new self contained option, cutting out travel, more bespoke, personal and private. Venues with spacious grounds are set to become the new chapels of Ireland. These are the weddings of the future."

Ballinacurra House, Kinsale, is was voted "Best Exclusive Hire Property" at the International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) in Cannes in January by the prestigious Luxury Travel Magazine , beating out stiff competition from Sir Richard Branson's Necker Island in the Caribbean and Dhoni Mighili resort in The Madives.

Ballinacurra House was the only nominee from Europe to have reached through to the final shortlist, alongside Virgin magnate Richard Branson's property and the Maldives resort and was crowned overall winner in the face of their longer established and more high profile competition.

The property was also a finalist for Best Marketing Innovation Award, recently in the HSMAI (Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International) Irish Chapter, in Dublin.
