I've been a photographer for over 10 years and what I really love to do is to take images. It's very easy to get caught up in all the catchphrases and terminology around wedding photography but there is nothing more important to me on your wedding day than taking really good, authentic, professional images which you are going to love for the rest of your life. Photobooths are becoming very popular but what I offer is a complete studio set up at the wedding venue with studio flash lighting. I take the pictures myself with a bit of assistance from other guests who usually gather round to shout encouragement! We knew that organizing an Irish wedding from overseas would have some difficulties & had assumed that selecting a photographer would be hard but thankfully we were wrong. Looking through a selection of photographers online, Fionn�s photos had an artistic edge a lot of the others didn�t; we knew straight away he was the photographer for us!
Fionns� tips before the wedding were very useful. Knowing we weren�t familiar with the Ballsbridge area of Dublin, he had taken the time to look around for suitable locations. We were able to choose where we wanted to have our photos from his trial photos, saving us time on the big day.
On the day Fionn and his assistant Barbara did an amazing job. In additional to the more traditional shots, Fionn had unique ideas for different photos, from a spot of lawn bowls with the local bowls club, to enjoying a 99 cone from an icecream van and cheering on an impromptu game of footy in the park. Fionn captured it all, and we had a great time with him. Our photos are exactly what we wanted - unique, creative and fun, a perfect record of our special day. A friend who has seen the pics is even hoping Fionn might fancy a trip to Oz to capture their wedding! -
Like many people, I am uncomfortable having my photo taken and my expression often looks more pained than happy! The whole build up to our wedding was very relaxed and stress free and that is what we wanted our photos to reflect. The last thing we wanted on the big day itself was being rounded up for endless staged photos that didn't capture any of the fun that we were actually having. Luckily for us, that is the essence of studio33weddings. We met with Fionn to have chat about what we were looking for in advance and were very much at ease with him and knew he understood exactly what we wanted from the start.
We were so relaxed with Fionn around on the day of the wedding itself that everyone presumed he was a friend of ours as he just slotted in so well. He spent most of the morning in the bridal suite amongst 8 women and we barely noticed he was there! Fionn (and his assistant Barbara) captured the day perfectly for us- all the laughs and the precious little moments without being remotely intrusive. The quality of the photos speak for themselves and they are matched by a truly lovely person behind the lens. Hard to ask for more than that." -

In December 2009, Fionn photographed our wedding in Dublin. Before choosing Fionn, we checked out a few photographers, but it was immediately clear his photography was in a different league. We had high expectations of his work, but the end result surpassed even these. Despite miserable weather and poor winter light, we got brilliant photos indoors and outdoors. On the day itself, Fionn was low-key and we weren�t dragged away from our guests for any significant amount of time. He was easy to deal with throughout the process and we�d recommend him to anyone.

I selected Fionn to take the photos for our wedding on the back of my cousin�s recommendation and I was not disappointed. From our first meeting, I was impressed. Fionn�s demeanour is relaxed and unobtrusive on the day and his photos are breathtaking. He catches the full flavour of the day without being �in your face�. He also kept us both relaxed throughout the day. The studio option is also a great addition to the wedding and we got some wonderful photos of our friends and family that we will cherish forever. If you use Studio 33 Weddings to take the photos for your wedding, you will only be impressed. I cannot recommend him more!

While planning for our Wedding, we originally decided that we only wanted a photgrapher to take photos and give them to us on a disc so we could create our own 'economy' album. When we met Fionn at his studio and were introduced to his style of work and saw his sample albums & photobooks, we quickly changed our minds.
Fionn is very easy to get along with and was excellent on the day, making us feel very relaxed on our first photo shoot. The pictures turned out to be everything we wished for and more. Fionn also put a lot of time in afterwards preparing the photobook for us. We were over the moon with the final result and even more so when we got the photobook back. It's fabulous and all thanks to Fionn. His work is worth every penny and more. Would definitely recommend without hesitation.
