Kilshane House, built in 1822, is the centrepiece of 320 acres in the heart of County Tipperary, Ireland. In addition to some charming local churches or the impressive Holy Cross Abbey, the huge curvilinear Conservatory circa 1860 is licensed for intimate civil ceremonies, civil partnerships, and/or blessings.

With elegant seating around the fountain for 75 to 100 guests and ample standing room under the palms as clouds drift over the soaring glass roof and music fills the air, your made-to-measure wedding ceremony will be unforgettable.

A Humanist wedding ceremony can be designed anywhere indoors or outdoors anywhere on the grounds. In addition to the Conservatory, the tiny walled garden blessed by the Holy Ghost Fathers and named the Sacred Garden of Meditation or the Victorian Landscape Garden beside the lake with the arched foot bridges to the deck in the lake have been memorable locations for ceremonies to date.

The Orangerie, with a full bar at one end, can comfortably seat 220 guests. The only guests in the 54 bedrooms en-suite are the ones you invite. Kilshane House has all the advantages of a private house and none of the disadvantages of a hotel.

Each wedding is designed to be just as unique as you are. An elegant dinner for the bridal party in the formal dining room the night before the wedding or informal drinks with delicious bar food in the Billiard Room as family and friends arrive can set the pace for the entire weekend.

On the wedding day, guests are greeted at the front door with trays of champagne, cocktails, pints of Guinness. and handmade canap�s. When the bell rings, guests walk through the house to the Orangerie for a delicious gala dinner personally selected by you and prepared entirely on site by our resident chefs. Fireworks, music, and dancing until dawn complete the picture.

The next day you can visit the Rock of Cashel, Cahir Castle, three different golf courses, the Glen of Aherlow and the Galtee Mountain, and more - all within a fifteen minute drive or simply walk around the estate while a light-hearted barbecue is prepared for the evening when you can kick off your shoes and relax with your friends and family. Each of the above includes exclusive use of Kilshane House for two days and nights with complimentary bridal suite for the night of the wedding. D�cor in the Orangerie includes organza ceiling drapes, six pairs of fairy light curtains on the French doors which open on to the terrace and the mirrored doors on the opposite side of the room, elegant six branch candelabra on the tables with tea lights around the base, tea lights on the ledge around the entire room, heavy fitted cream embossed chair covers, with cream linen on the tables and Wedgewood plates. Personalised menus, table names/numbers, and table plans. A menu tasting three months before the wedding includes a consultation with our Head Chef and wine specialist. We propose hand made canap�s and two glasses of Prosecco for the drinks reception along with tea and coffee, and a six course wedding dinner with two glasses of wine per person followed by a midnight supper.

Accommodation : Classic bedrooms are from € 60 per person sharing and include a full Irish breakfast in addition to cereals, croissants, juices including freshly squeezed orange juice, homemade breads (including coeliac friendly choices), jams, cheeses, smoked salmon, etc.
