Weddings need no longer be expensive. At Stoops House we want you to enjoy your day by using our house and grounds to have the freedom to celebrate your wedding reception with no restrictions or time limits.

In this time of austerity we have teamed up with one of the country’s premier Marquee companies that wholly specialise in weddings to bring you a beautiful Marquee in a wonderful setting with far reaching views of the Wicklow hills & valleys.

Making our home into an instant wedding venue offers an option for the couple to have the most freedom and control. Hiring a marquee saves money on hotel rooms and offers a stage for a bride or a host to celebrate an event without the rigour of having to travel. Parties at home always have a more relaxed feel, just by definition.

Control your event; yourself Restrictions imposed by venues, corkage, choice of caterers, florists, time the event has to end all become irrelevant when hiring a marquee. Inform (or invite) the neighbours and case closed!

You will have a fully featured marquee with, tables, chairs, toilets, stage, dance floor; all you have to do is bring yourselves, wedding cake, music, food & wine. In fact why don’t you leave the food, wine & music to us?

We are aiming to bring people here that are looking for value and do not want to hike on premiums just because it’s a wedding, therefore at Stoops you will find affordability, flexibility but without compromise of quality.

Am afraid we aren’t a country manor or old country house, what we are aiming at is all about the “Marquee” where people can eat drink dance and sing the night away into the early hours, then for those staying at Stoops, can retire up to your bed.

What we do have is a clean, modern, contempory house perfectly secluded in a valley away from traffic and the hustle and bustle of large commercial non exclusive hotels in big towns.

Remember, no high hotel premiums, no strict time constraints, no annoying the neighbours, no one dimensional menus, or rubbish wine, just perfect flexibility with options to eat your own food, drink your own wine and beer and ceoltas galore.

• 9.5 out of 10 - Very smart, contemporary more hotel-like decor with two large lounges with comfy settees. Room spacious, modern and bright. Vicky who looks after day-to-day running is welcoming and produced a satisfying breakfast from a range of options. Very peaceful location.
