Dromoland Castle, a magnificent historic Renaissance structure built in the sixteenth century and surrounded by a 410 acre estate, provides a delightful variety of venues for wedding ceremonies, receptions and photographs. Complemented by luxurious accommodations, grand yet welcoming common areas, unparalleled service, dining selections to satisfy the most discriminating palate and recreational activities galore, Dromoland Castle suits any style of nuptials, from magnificent to intimate, traditional to informal.
There is a great sense of arrival for the wedding party and guests as they traverse the magical winding approach to the Castle’s Kincora Gallery, with its separate entrance, vaulted ceilings and beautifully crafted floor-to-ceiling windows. Just beyond lies Brian Boru Hall, the venue for wedding celebrations hosting from 120 to 300 guests. The majestic Hall -- named in honor of the High King of Ireland whose descendants made the Castle their ancestral home -- features arched balconies, heraldic banners, chandeliered ceilings and rich wood paneling, creating a uniquely romantic atmosphere. It is served by a dedicated kitchen and bakery and further complimented by two preparation rooms (the Norse Room and the Celt Room), a walled garden ideal for receptions and a nearby honeymoon suite, one of several with special amenities and unique layouts.
Venues for smaller celebrations in the Castle include The Terrace Room and The Drawing Room, suitable for parties of 31 to 70 people and 10 to 30 people, respectively. The Terrace Room welcomes the outdoors in, with two walls of windows and an open, airy feel, while The Drawing Room is cozy and warm, graced by a fireplace and portraits of the Irish royalty that once walked the Castle halls. Both offer views of classic Irish estate scenery, including stone terraces leading the eye to lush green lawns, a lovely fountain and the graceful white “Temple of Mercury” folly framed by ancient woodlands.

Hi Margaret,
I just wanted to drop you a quick thank you for everything you did to make our wedding day so very special. We only got back from honeymoon last week and are still in a whirlwind about our magical weekend. We had the time of our lives and judging by the responses we have had from our guests, so did everyone else. There were lots of comments about the gorgeous setting, the great service and the food. People were flabbergasted at how the chef cooked 200 steaks to order and cooked them all so perfectly. Please pass on our thanks to the chef.
Overall, the wedding was completely seamless, everything went like clockwork and your staff were just fantastic. There was always someone to help me out or calm me down. haha.
Anyway, official thank you notes are on their way but I wanted to make sure you knew how grateful we were for all the hard work you put into it.

Everything went very smoothly and we couldn't have been happier with everything the hotel staff did for us. While it went even more smoothly that we could have expected we understand the work that goes on in the background to get it to that position.
Can you also pass on our thanks to Ann Romer, both Siobhan and I were absolutely delighted with the flowers we were amazed with the detail on the bouquets and it was a real pleasure looking at them when we were sitting on the top table.

I am sorry this is so late, but I just wanted to thank you and all the staff and Dromoland for the wonderful wedding that we had in March. Everything was great, from the minute our guests drove onto the grounds, through the wedding festivities and then finally the departure. You made us all feel welcome and the castle looked fantastic. The people you recommended, such as Anne did a marvelous job in making the day special for Jessica and Jason as well as for Jan and I. I can't tell you how many wonderful comments we have received about the castle, the grounds, the rooms, the breakfasts the food at the wedding and the overwhelming graciousness of the people who work there who attended to our guests.
Jessica set up a website for all to post their pictures and each time new ones are added there are scenes that I didn't get to see, though I have been there three times now. Can't wait till the final wedding photos come! -

I have been meaning to write and thank you since Ingrid's marriage to Anders on the 29th March this year. Margaret, you made the day a most memorable for all of us. Everything went so well, as one guest wrote that from the moment she and her husband arrived at Dromoland on the Friday night, to when they left on Sunday they were totally uplifted.
The hotel was a marvelous venue and your organization for the day was excellent and without exception.
