My job is to dream up the most romantic wedding imaginable.  It might be in a tiny medieval church in a lovely perched village overlooking Monaco or on a little island off Cannes overlooking the bay…

I have been living in Nice for many years now planning weddings with Irish couples  that can go from the simple and elegant to the absolutely spectacular.  My aim is to take the stress  away from you and with my  local knowledge and many years of experience in Patrick Guilbauds , I recognize excellence and quality - which doesn’t  necessarily mean expensive. I speak fluent French so no need for the pocket dictionary!

Of course in the straightened times we live in, many will want a celebration that won’t raid the piggy bank and the really good thing about the Cote D’Azur is that there are so many wonderful venues near the water and in walking distance from hotels that are surprisingly cost effective.  People are constantly amazed at how the most fabulous restaurants are so reasonable.

But the main attraction, it has to be said, is that in the south of France you are guaranteed at least 300 days of sunshine and blue skys which means that slinky gowns can be worn with great comfort.  No veils blowing in the wind, no frozen bride and no mother of the bride hanging on to her hat!

I am a one-stop shop and will get the priest or pastor, the venue, the flowers, music, hair and make -up, transport and even English speaking babysitters.  With direct flight from Ryanair and Aer Lingus,

The entire experience can be very comfortably managed and I’m happy to arrange for number from 10 - 150.

What I have noticed most over my years is that people tend to like to make a holiday of the wedding.  Wonderfully cost-effective apartments and hotels are available all year, but the best time for a wedding is unquestionably May/June or September/October when the weather is not too hot.

I have also found that families and their guests like to extend their stay so that both sides can really get to know one another, you can chat about old times with your cousins and hang out with your old pals.  The days of rushing off on the honeymoon seems to have gone,  the new bride and groom preferring to enjoy a few days to relax and digest the celebration.

The wedding is undoubtedly the main event, but the few days before and after becomes a much more intimate and memorable experience when you bump into one another in the shops  and cafes.

I am delighted to say that my business of dreaming up the perfect wedding has become enormously

Successful and is fantastic fun.  A developing sector, and one of my personal favourites, is the second time around wedding which is proving to be extremely popular. I can also organize a series of alternative ceremonies, including all kinds of non-church events such as deep sea diving weddings

Or a pastor who wears the most brilliant vestments and who will marry couples on the beach….
