At Mount Druid we can provide an exciting high-quality alternative to your conventional venue, an ideal and uniquely suited location for your wedding day.
Mount Druid is proud to offer several distinctive spaces for any number of guests ranging from casual to formal, day or night, any day of the week:
The Barn - seating capacity is approx 100, standing 150
The Village Chapel - seating capacity approx 170 on church pews
Selection of marquees - seating and standing capacity vary for each
Our newly converted ‘Barn’ is the perfect spot for dining and dancing, an ideal combination of shabby chic with a mixture of antique and restored furniture. The Barn has a fully equipped kitchen and pizza oven. An outdoor BBQ area and fireplace is located at the rear within our walled garden.
Our caterers tailor the menu to each event, matching our own seasonal garden vegetables and market availability with guest preferences and The Barn’s unique style of pizza cuisine. You can also provide your own caterers…at Mount Druid it’s all about your preference.
The Barn is a licensed wine premises with organic red and white wine available.
Weddings
Castletown Geoghegan’s Catholic Church is just across the road from Boutique Camping.
Alternatively - civil ceremonies (3 months notice) can be carried out in our unconsecrated ‘Village Chapel’, an alternative quaint gathering space nestled among the trees on site.
Why not use this tin ‘Chapel’ for a simple blessing while previously registering your marriage at a registry office.
Accommodation
Your guests and friends can choose between a mixture of accommodation which includes 10 beautifully luxurious yurts, shepherds huts, pod pads and individual self catering houses.
Extras
Finally, our events manager can assist you in all phases of planning including contacts and arrangements for flowers, decor, rentals, audio/visual equipment and entertainment to ensure your total satisfaction.
