nightmare photographer captured images

hi all, thought i should let ya all know, we got married aug last year and had captured images formally of lisburn now trading from a house in n/abby do our photos & video for our wedding, 13 months later and we have just recieved our album after many many unanswered calls and visits to there offices, also we paid for 2 smaller albums for both sets of parents that were to be the same as our album only smaller......not at all, ours was a nice hard back that was a good job, but the 2 smaller ones were paper back not like the large one at all, they also said when booking that they would give us the disc of our photos at the end, not at all even after all the wait and not ans our calls ,he was still looking £ he said i sent you an email offering it for £250 but you didnt take the offer so now its more, what a joke. also talk about hidden costs..... he told me before leaving the house to go to the church that we hadnt paid him enough for him to film the first dance, he said give me another £100 and he would stay....just thought id share my experience folks.....

Hi 34103410,
I am really sorry for how your experience with your photographer worked out, but I would not let it drop just yet, keep the pressure up and you may get a satisfactory response .
For he other wollies reading your post I think it really stresses the importance of signing a contract with all of your wedding suppliers. But before you sign the contract make sure to read it properly so that you know exactly what is and is not covered in it. If it is not specific enough and you wish to add an addendum to the contract then insist on it before you sign.
That way everyone knows exactly where they stand before the goods/ services are supplied and there will not be any unpleasant surprises afterwards.
34103410, did you also keep copies of all emails between yourself and this supplier ?
If so you may have some form of comeback but your position will be nowhere near as strong as if you had a detailed contract.

I've booked Eric from Savo Photography, his pictures are just excellent, I get so excited everytime he posts new pics on facebook and he was lovely when we met him. Come on wedding :o)ll

I have Savo booked also. I was BM at a wedding in April and Eric was photographer, he took amazing photos and was real nice so as soon as I got venue sorted I booked him. Love the stuff he does

Hi Folks,

From experience of getting married last year, it is important to choose carefully whether for a photographer, venue, or florist etc. Which ever vendor ticks the most boxes for each part of the wedding, from price to likability, is generally the best option to go with.

Once you choose, make sure to read the terms & conditions before signing AND have all the details written carefully on the booking form before signing. Also make sure that both yours (client) and the vendors signatures are on all the forms and that both of you have identical copies. ONLY hand over money whether its a deposit or full amount, once the above is done.

This protects both the client and the vendor equally, and 99.9% of the time the experience between the client and vendor is relaxed and friendly as everything is conducted as it should be.

I hope this is of help & best of luck with your wedding planning.
