Harveys Point Brides!!!

Well I think we officially have the quietest page on here. I am off to Ireland in the morning for my final meetings before I return for the wedding in July. I am meeting with the hotel and various other vendors, but I am very excited. Did you know that the hotel have been working on a new double treatment room, a new outside area from the ballroom and a few other bits...looking forward to seeing the progress.

Brides getting married in the next few months, how have you been getting on with RSVPs? We nearly have all of ours back in but still waiting for a few of my partners to come back. ONe good thing about having it in Ireland, is that we have had a few refusals so our numbers are a lot more manageable now. However, on that note, I hope we don't have too few so that the ballroom looks bare?!

Any news with you girls?

Dresses are currently being altered, and most things are now bought. 8 weeks on Thursday...it's getting closE!! :heartbeat:

How's all the HP brides going with their plans? If you need any info on the surrounding area in Donegal Town, hairdressers, makeup, flowers, photography, give me shout as I have plenty of useful info and contacts as I'm a makeup artist in the area and my main works and contacts are all wedding related!

Gorgeous place for your wedding...hopefully someday I'll be booking it myself! ;)

Hi there,

I am due to get married in Harveys Point in June next year! So looking forward to it but also getting very stressed! I live in Kildare but my Mum is from Donegal and I'm tyring to source a good local band. I really am finding it difficult as any bands I have approached seem to be very expensive or not to our taste. I would like a band that play all thier own instruments and can play a bit of evrything, some waltzes for my aunties and Lady Gaga for my nieces!!

Also can anyone tell me if they got any kind of a deal on wine with HP? I was a little surprised that we cannot bring in our own as it seems to be a way of keeping cost down a little. (Our list is expanding daily O-O

!!!)

Anyway all advice is appreciated!
Also I did ask Sara about the VAT reduction and she said HP are passing this on, that doesn't surprise me they seem very reasonable about that type of thing!
