its the first image here and it sums up me and H2B and our relationship cos he travels alot
http://yoshindo.blogspot.de/2010/02/young-love.html

Ive only seen invites with pictures/images on the standard card type invites.
any ideas?

I used a caricature in our pocketfolds. I printed it out and laid vellum with the details over it.
Here are a few pics...

Some of these were taken at the planning stage! The tags on the front had the guests names on it.

I made the pocketfolds myself with linen card cut by my local printing place. I rounded the edges and glued the sides after using a folding tool to crease the card. I cut linen card I got on ebay to size myself and rounded the edges.

I've already posted a thread in OF - but just thought - this being the DIY thread... some of you girls might of come across this

I'm at the stage where I am looking at printing my invites. I'm doing pocketfolds so need Invitation, Enclosures & RSVPs & Monograms printed.

Emailed Reads (Nassau St/Sandyford) and they gave a great quote but didn't have the "Stardream" brand that my local printers quoted me for. They said they had a "range of cream cards" though...

So I was wondering does anyone know if Reads do have Metallic/Shimmery card?? As its kinda what I have my heart set on..

Painted my champagne glasses for my bridesmaids. They look better in real life but Im pleased with them.

I probably should have posted how I did it.
Before you start clean the glasses with white spirits to get any dirt/grease/finger prints off them.
I bought a small round paintbrush in easons, glasses in tesco, paint in art & hobby and letters online.
I printed off a pic of a dress to the size I wanted it then stuck it into the glass and basically just traced over it. I tried to cutout a stencil but it was very difficult as I didn't have the right knife.
It took 3 coats of paint to get quite a solid colour and so the brush strokes weren't visible.
Just have patience and let them dry properly between coats.

Oooooh they look fab!! How did you do them? Is the bling stuck on?
let x=y
x - y=0
multiplying 2 on both sides to get 2x - 2y =0
so, 2x - 2y=x - y
2(x - y)=x - y
2= (x - y) / (x - y)
So, 2 = 1

Deadly! Totally storing this in my good idea box!
let x=y
x - y=0
multiplying 2 on both sides to get 2x - 2y =0
so, 2x - 2y=x - y
2(x - y)=x - y
2= (x - y) / (x - y)

Well our wedding has been and gone! Seems like it never happened now. It seems a lifetime ago. Yet its only 3 and a half months. With all the drama in the lead up and on the day we still find it hard to look back on the day and think only happy thoughts. Enjoying married life to its full now and that is the best part.

Just wanted to pop in here and say I added a blog post to my blog on the DIY things that were done for our wedding. They were actually the highlight of the day for us in the end as they made it so personal.

http://www.helena-ag-cniotail.blogspot.com/

Hope you girls enjoy the run up and there are no bumps in the road and don't get too stressed with any of the DIY stuff. I know I had a few moments of panic thinking I wouldn't get everything done but got there in the end. Actually had a cousin of my hubbys ask me to make his wedding invites after he saw ours I had to refuse as it was such a lot of work and by the time I added up costs and labor it would have been just as expensive for him and he mentioned being on a budget.

Wishing everyone a fantastic wedding!

Those glasses are brilliant! Well done you! :lvs

I have done a spot of DIY'ing for my wedding. Its all packed up now and being sent off to Rome today! Forgot to take pics of some of it.

Have hangers made for the girls too but they're not finished yet. Forgot to take a pic of the chair signs actually on the chairs :duh: but they were just hung up with ivory ribbon. Look really cute!
My MOH made fabulous pew ends which I also forgot to take a picture of. They are bird seeds in a heart shape and with a ribbon bow on them.

As you can see we are having a "bird theme". My hubby to be is an avid birder so thought it would be a nice way to make the day personal for both of us and make him interested in the planning! :)

The invites with the characitures (I cannot spell that word) are just fantastic, love them!

Glasses are fabulous, might do something else for the girls too yet, will keep this in mind!

Love the bird themed bits too, especially the little nests, adorable!

Brilliant x
