June 2012 Brides

Well ladies, back from my Hen. I am rightly shattered! It was a lovely night, nice and relaxed. I was much better than Thursday/Friday but appetite still is a bit off so didn't really get to enjoy my lovely din dins last night but I'm happy out!

Those of you that have had your hens, am I the only one that is kind of glad to have it out of the way?? Sorry I know that sounds awful but I've lists coming out of my ears and the Hen is another thing to tick off! I know I'll be sorry after the wedding that I didn't enjoy it more. :-8

Mrswifey2012 thank god you said that!I feel that aswell.I feel the weeks are flying and Ive lots of little bits still to do!My hen was last night and we did enjoy it but my relation died,it was expected and we were going to cancel but my relation loved a laugh and would have wanted me to go ahead. We had a good night but the sadness was hanging over us all night and with the hen over it was a relief today.

I felt exactly the same - it was a lovely weekend and the girls had arranged lots of little treats for me, but I find being the centre of attention like that a bit stressful and was always a bit anxious that everyone was having a good time, etc. - I was quite relieved to have it behind me. Roll on the big day now!

Hi fellow June 2012 brides!
i've not been on this site in ages - how are you all doing?
I've 3weeks or so to go - 24 days as I was reliably told by himself this morning!
Plans are pretty much done - RSVPs are coming back & the seating plan nightmare will begin soon. Just have to meet my florist & musican's to finalise details, the usual week before appointments for hair, beauty, hotel & collections.

Got a question for you...
When we recently met the hotel they said that they don't print the wedding menu.
Will I?
Won't I?
Have you? And if so what/how did you do it? (thinking of DIYing this bit)

Our hotel is printing menus and I would want them to. Why don't you ask them again to do it? Surely they should want to show off the menu and what food is coming? It's advertising for them surely.

My RSVP date is the 11 th may and still waiting on just under half even though I put stamped addressed envelopes in with my invites. I'm impatient waiting. Are others of you the same?

We've just over 4 weeks to go and still waiting for it to hit me. Still seems ages away.

Our RSVP date was last Friday. Still waiting on about 50 RSVPs, but I don' think that's all that unusual, unfortunately :( I'll give them 'til the end of this week and then start making phone calls...

You're not alone! Our RSVP was last week & there are family members on H2b's side who haven't replied yet. They'll get here.

What else should I be doing???

Ha ha. I feel the same but I think once you've spoken to all the suppliers it's just a waiting game and then the last week or two will be busy ringing them all again. I'm afraid there's something big I'm forgetting and this lovely calm exterior I have at the moment will change and the bridezilla in me will come out!! There hasn't been sight nor sound of it so far. :o0

Gingerwhinger, Any sign of those flowergirl dresses? Hope they were nice when they arrived?

Totally hear you on the hens - I was sooooooo relieved when mine was over and done with. It's just one less thing to have to be anxious about I guess ;o)

knowing half of them they steamed off the stamp to use it themselves >:o( >:o( >:o( >:o( not waiting on too many more now thank god.
