What foundation are you wearing on your wedding day?

I have not used either but I'd imagine DW might be a bit heavy on your skin in the heat?? But on the plus side I hear that it doesn't move which also could be a bonus in the heat. You could try DW light or else go with what they are all using in spain. Is there SPF in the Mac pro?

DW is far too heavy for me. The problem I have with foundations is that most of them are too dark for me, and I won't be wearing fake tan (hate it) - so the one that suited me best @trial was the lightest (or second lightest) shade in the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24. It gave good even coverage, I wasn't caked, and it didn't dry me out. It looked really well in photos and I didn't feel like I was wearing any make-up.

Is anyone doing their own make up? I keep changing my mind I like how I do my make up normally just afraid won't last full day don't want to be conscious of it or have to pop off to powder my nose!

I was going to but when I panic, my face gets really hot and I can't imagine what the nerves will be like on the morning so I got the trial and I know for a fact that I wouldn't be able to do the whole primer/foundation/contouring thing properly on the day so I'm going with the MUA - I don't know if mine will last the full day either but it's a lot easier to touch up when it's done for me at the start!

i think you can pretty much wear any foundation as long as you have a primer underneath. the primer creates a barrier between your skin & your makeup so oil or sweat from your skin doesn't cause the makeup to melt off.

candlequeen - have you tried bobbi brown foundation? their 'alabaster' shade is very pale & their "skin foundation" is really light but with medium coverage, looks like a 'second skin'.

dumdumdidum - am strongly considering doing it myself. haven't had a trial yet, but am a bit worred about coming out looking orange. will see how the trials go.

Thanks a million, will have a look at that one - I really don't want to be orange either and I hate tan!

i like smashbox photofinish primer on the face, and on the eyes, too faced shadow insurance works really well [link: https://www.toofaced.com/p-544-shadow-i ... rimer.aspx?] - has some pigments through it which kind of blanks out any redness etc on the eyelid - eyeshadow stays put for ever! have tried the photofinish on the eyelids but found it didn't work quite as well.

just to throw another option in to the pot here....! made a new discovery on the foundation & primer front today!

I may just have stopped by the Benefit counter today & i may just have ended up getting a bottle of their new liquid foundation 'Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow". It's veery nice... couldn't help myself!

The colour is really good, & it gave a gorgeous dewy finish. it's also oil free so worked well on me (have combination skin). coverage was quite good too (light to medium, very natural looking). it has spf 25 & vitamin c & e. plus, it's a bit cheaper than the bobbi brown - e35 as opposed to e45(i think) for the bobbi brown.

i also got a sample tube of their primer which the girl at the counter used on me, it's called the porefessional -nice silky finish with pigments in it to blank out redness.
