My suggestion would be to know how many bridesmaid etc you need, then what colours and have a good search online for photos so you know what style you are looking for. I found some of the florists I priced where trying to push me to order more expensive things than I wanted or needed. In the end I went with a local freelance florist who is great to deal with and gave us great value for money. PM me if you want her details.

Well you'll need your bouquet, a bouquet for each of your BM's, buttonholes for groom and groomsmen, do you wanna give dads and mams buttonholes? Do you need an alter arrangement for your unity candles?

If your using local florists, they will more than likely know your church and will be able to advise you what other brides have done...

With regards to what you want... do you know what colours your bridesmaids are gonna be? Your florist will be able to tell you what will look well. Before you go you could google for example "Blue Bridesmaids" and look at what flowers they have for inspiration

Hi there,

Well as mentioned you will need Bridal Party flowers (Bouquets, Buttonholes, Corsages, flower girl, page boy). You will also need flowers for your reception but most hotels provide these but if you are not happy with the flowers your hotel provides you are usually entitled to a flower supplement instead that you can give to your florist if you opt for an alternative, e.g. Ornate Bird cages or Candleabras etc. Then you will need some flowers for your church but before you discuss this with your Florist, call you church and find out if there is anything else on in the church coming up to your wedding, i.e. another wedding, communions, confirmations, christmas, easter etc... chances are some flowers will be supplied already. Depending on your budget you can also double up some of your flowers for example your alter display may also be used as your top table display. Pew flowers can be used as centre pieces, and generally your bouquets are placed on the cake table so not further flowers are required there. Also don't always feel like you have to go with your local florist, most florists will deliver.

If you would like any further advise please feel free to drop me a line on [email protected]. If you would like some further inspiration then feel free to check out some of my work on http://www.facebook.com/flowerflair :o)ll

I hope that this has been of some help to you, good luck with your meetings O-O

I got a great price from the florist I booked (www.daisys.ie). They were considerably cheaper than some of the other florists that I got quotes from, including some that advertise on here.
