Do I really Need to Decorate the Pew Ends??

Do I really Need to Decorate the Pew Ends??

Postby KMaher » Fri May 11, 2022 8:08 pm

Hi Ladies,
Just wondering what you think? Do I really need to decorate the pew ends in the church? The church always has lovely flowers and I've gotten a flower arrangement for the unity candles, do I need to get more stuff for the pew ends?

Its entirely up to you and how bothered you are! Im not doing it but then my church is massive so they'd be lost!
It would be more worthwhile in a tiny church but honestly can you remember them at any other weddings? No? Me neither!

In saying that, it's just the lazy part of me talking and I'm not belittling any body who chooses to have them. There are just so many other things to focus on.

If you did want something though, you could just even have some ribbon in your colour? It doesn't have to be a big ordeal.

In short, it's not expected by your guests.

To be honest, I really wanted to do the pew ends just to make it look a little more weddingy - I know our church is always decorated lovely, and it's not too enormous, but I'd be worried that it would look bare because we're not really doing a lot of flowers, so I went in and counted the pews - 20 on each side. I got 20 huge cream organza sashes on eBay a while back for €12 and I'm going to tie one around every second one in a bow. I just think it'll add a little bit extra!

But no, you definitely don't HAVE to do it. It's personal choice. Nobody will expect or miss it, I just wanted it :o0
