Cheapest shops to buy things for babs

Cheapest shops to buy things for babs

Postby little mrs sunshine » Wed Dec 12, 2021 9:13 am

Girls, I am in the middle of getting a list together of what I need for babs and there is a big price difference between Argos and mothercare. Argos is way cheaper.

Just thought I would pass that on.
Told DH if his sister's ask what we want for xmas tell them argos vouchers.

Anyone from Cork that is thinking of buying the quinny in Argos, it is much cheaper in Nusery things on Washington street.

Most other things like LMS said do seem to be cheaper in Argos though

I honestly can't remember but the girl who got it (I called to her on Sunday) said she saved alot - I am guessing up to €100 - she was surprised as she had gotten most of her stuff from Argos.

It was quinny but I am not sure whether it was the buzz or not. (It was the 3 wheeler one - does that make a difference)- their website is www. nurserythings.com might be worth giving them a call. I have emailed her as well to ask her so once she gets back to me I will let you know.

The little knacker - I just emailed her and I got an out of reply message back saying she was on maternity leave - she was not due to finish till the 21st - so unfair :o(

I will email her on Rollercoaster, she goes on that

They apparently (haven't been in there) have lovely stuff - might be worth travelling down some day

LMS she just got back to me and this is her email

"The buggy it self only cost 389 that doesnt include the maxi cosi car seat which was another 265!
I think that was because i got the last seasons colour though. Right now they are 439 from what i can remember.
I was looking in there today and they have the Avent steriliser (the avent products are supposed to be the best) for 59 euro, in smyths they are 90, Argos they are 72 and in Tony Kealys they are 60!! Its the same product in 4 different places at 4 different prices!!"

She went on to price other items as well and it came out top on alot of things. Smyths seemed to be the dearest for most things - you would know she was off work if she has the time to be doing all this :o0 :o0 HTH

Hi girls,

Sorry to hijack this not pregnant yet but have everything crossed for next year, what about setting up a sticky lists baby items where you bought them, how much they cost etc. an on going price comparison if you like, it would be great to see how much the prices vary from shop to shop around the country.

Happy Shopping (little bit jealous :o( )
